Internet Explorer / IE >> Downgrading from IE7 to IE 6 Hi Michael:

IE 7 is part of the Vista operating system so it can't be uninstalled.

How about asking a specific question? We'd like to help but we need more
information about your problem than "its very buggy".

Internet Explorer / IE >> Downgrading from IE7 to IE 6

Thank you for your provost response, I assure you I donâ??t want to be
negative, and would love to do anything to improve the IE, as I believe in
community and learning curve to improve the efficiency of any product,
especially if we are considering great products similar to Microsoft
solutions.
However I have tested and experienced IE7 on both Windows XP professional
with SP2 and Vista Home Premium, and I assure you that there is a huge
difference between them, below are highlights for some of the problems Iâ??m
facing, and Iâ??m not an expert to manage to resolve the source of the problem.
1. Continuous freezing for IE7 almost every time I use it, I have a freeze
screen, that request me to restart the program, what makes me lost he last
pages I was previewing, and here I would like recommending adding a new
restore feature that enable users to go back to the pages been previewing
when the problem happen.
2. Failure in running Java: even that I installed java perfectly, ver. Java
Plug-in 1.6.0_01, I still receive many different errors whenever Iâ??m running
a dynamic flash area â??Such chat roomsâ?? here is an example of a flash program
failure :

Security Exception
java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: socket

at java.net.URL.<init>(Unknown Source)
at java.net.URL.<init>(Unknown Source)

at java.net.SocksSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source)

at java.net.Socket.<init>(Unknown Source)
at java.net.Socket.<init>(Unknown Source)
at I.I.append(Unknown Source)
at I.I.run(Unknown Source)
This problem does not exist on other web browsers , or with Windows XP with
IE6.

3. Losing the last save directory for (Multimedia): this is really a very
disturbing issue not available in the previous version, were in the previous
IE6 you could have start multiple IE and each one can save files in specific
directory, for example I can run Internet Explorer twice, the first one I can
save images in my documents and the other Internet explorer window can save
images in another location, and each child window created from for instance
the first Internet explorer will save by default files in the assigned
directory.
The problem in the current IE7 that it doesnâ??t have this feature, and it
loses the directory location every time you try to save a file, and with
every child window you have to brows for the same directory each time you
save a document, â??Imagine how much time you lose if you are trying to save as
100 document or imageâ??â?¦
This problem is not available in other popular web browsers and it wasnâ??t
available in IE6.

I hope that the above error list is sufficient to inform you how much Iâ??m
facing problems running IE7 on Vista.

Iâ??m having Sony Vaio Model VGN-FE48G/H
Core 2 duo 2 Ghz
2 GM Ram
