Hi all. I have installed IE7 over IE6 in the past 6 months. A frequented

website did a redesign, and after two days, the formatting on my PC went odd,

and apparently, I was among the minority of site visitors with the problem.

I read a little, and decided to "restore advanced settings" and "reset" under

tools-advanced. Now, some usual sites appear like they are zoomed OUT, and

others appear normal. I have played with the zoom feature since then, and as

expected, the smalls appear mostly normal, although I have a right/left

scroll option when I don't need it, and the normal sized pages appear big. I

also tried the text size option, but no good.

I tried reinstalling IE7, no better. I uninstalled, looked at IE6, and

still the same strange and new formatting. In order to make it such that all

sites can be seen on the single page as designed- not requiring R/L scroll-

several sites text is so small it hurts my eyes to see.

None of this existed before the little reset thing. Strange?

Looking for the fix...

Hi Matt,

Try installing IE7 after completely uninstalling IE6. and apply all teh

hofixes and updates for IE7.

Looking for the fix...

There may not be one. Perhaps your display resolution is too high for your

eyes? Otherwise in order to use View Text size... be aware that you may

have to resort to the Accessibility dialog's Ignore font sizes... option.

(Keystrokes in English version of IE: Alt-T,O,Alt-e,z)

That is not possible. Any machine that can upgrade from IE6 to IE7 cannot

uninstall IE7 and then uninstall IE6,
