Internet Explorer / IE >> Login detail

In IE6, after I login on a website, I do not need to re-enter the login
detail again when I re-visit them next time. However, in IE7, I need to
enter the login detail every time I visit the website. Can someone advise
how to configure IE7 to remember my login detail for certain period of time.

Thanks,

Scott

Switch on AutoComplete and its various options on Internet Options,
Content. If that doesn't get you going it's likely your security software
hosed part of your IE setup already during installation.
You can test Autocomplete here: http://winware.org/en/

Internet Explorer / IE >> Login detail Kai,

I do not believe it relates to AutoComplete feature. I note that
AutoComplete stores my successfully entered usenames and passwords. When I
type the same username, it will supply the password to me so I save the time
to recall and re-type the password.

What I need now is that I visit some websites and they require to supply
username and password in order to access certain area withing the website.
Normally, the website has a button to store the username and password for a
period of time. If you check it, you do not need to login that website next
time you visit them and auto login becomes automatic. I have learnt that
this relates to ActiveX or cookie program. I believe it may be set to
disable in IE7 as default setting. Now I need to find out where I can
activate it to use this feature as I have a number of websites requiring
login process every day.

Thanks,

Scott

That's a better explanation :-)
This is done with Cookies and you will find a test for this at the website I
mentioned as well.
