Internet Explorer 7 Instability

Internet Explorer60
Very often when using I.E 7, it shuts down conveying the message that it has

to be

closed and apologising for possible losses of the material you are working on.

The Same Happened to I.E 6 also but not so frequently. I send the warning

response message to Microsoft as requested, but nothing is changed or

enhanced.

Now, I'm asking,in what factors this problem has to be attributed, and if

there's any

hope for better future performance of I.E 7. Should some of us try Firefox

or other

Browsers? Do they have better performance than I.E 7? I.d appreciate it if

you sent

me a direct answer to these querries to the following e.mail address:

Thank you in advance

Re:Internet Explorer 7 Instability

As has been explained here countless times in response to the identical

question, most problems of instability with Internet Explorer are due to

incompatible software (including browser add-ons), misconfiguration of

the browser, malware, and incorrect installation.

I know of three causes for the vast majority of such problems:

1. Incompatible add-ons: What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop

and choose Start Without Add-ons?

Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet

Explorer (No Add-ons).

2. Tools | Internet Options | Advanced

Scroll to the bottom and click Reset Internet Explorer Settings.

3. Malware already installed on the computer: Help with malware

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?

For quite a few people it's by installing Messenger Plus, whose ads for

malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you

owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see

what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure

of.
