Internet Explorer / IE >> Pictures Missing from HTM files

Hi Everybody,
I use WINDOWS XP with SP2 and Internet Explorer V9.0.2900.
I have a large number of HTM files which I downloaded from the COREL
graphics site over the years. Recently, I have found that when I open most
of these files, the images do not display. Yet at one time the images did
indeed display. The original sub-folders with the same name still are in
the same parent folder as the HTM file.
A few HTM files do open properly -- i.e. the images are displayed when
the file is opened.
I can open the images in the sub-folder separately with a graphics
program like Adobe PhotoShop.
1. What could have happened?
2. Is there a way to trouble shoot this problem?
3. Is there a way to tell the file where the images are located.
Thanks for any help and suggestions.
Phil

open the html files and check how the path to the image looks like. If you
can follow that path to the existing image IE should display it, otherwise
it won't.
You'd be better off to store such pages as "web page, complete" (beware,
though, that some pages cannot be saved this way).

Internet Explorer / IE >> Pictures Missing from HTM files Hi Kai,
Thanks for your response.
How do I find the path to the image? Can I also add a path to the image
within the file? If so, that might solve the problem since the images are
stored in a sub-folder with the same name as the HTM file.
Thanks again.
Phil

This is the wrong question. ;-) Path to the image is *only* in the file,
nowhere else.

Look in the source code of the page. You need to know at least a minimum of
HTML, but changing the path should be easy even to someone who doesn't know
anything about HTML. Images are marked my <img src="..."> tags.
