Why does tab browsing in IE7 crash all the time everytime but if I open a new
browser everytime IE7 works fine. Is the tabbed feature still in beta?

Internet Explorer / IE >> Tab browsing crashes IE7 - non tab it works fine
I've had issues with tabbed browsing too, although I wouldn't say "all the
time."
For me, tabbed browsing can cause issues when I have numerous tabs open.
When I start to close some tabs, IE will crash.
The problem that I do have every time with tabs, is if I try to close IE
with multiple tabs open. IE will warn me that I am closing multiple tabs, but
if I click "Close Tabs" IE will always crash. If I close the tabs one at a
time and then close IE, it will exit without crashing.
I have the Google Toolbar and the del.icio.us toolbar installed, but other
than that everything should be fairly standard.
Anyone got any thoughts?
Thanks,
Andrew

I WOULD say "all the time." This AM alone IE7 has shut down at least 20
times. Every time I have more than two tabs open it just disapears. Most of
the time with no warning, no "must close." Ocassionally I get the "must
close" message and always send a report. Using multiple browsers doesn't
always help.
Other than this problem, I like the new layout and features. I didn't use
any of the optional toolbars or add-ons, though. I want to keep it as clean
and problem free as possible. I wish I had waited to download... till the
bugs were fixed.

This is probably caused by an incompatible toolbar or add-on. The release
notes at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/aa740486.aspx#incompattoolbar
list incompatible toolbars. You can find troubleshooting information at
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/aa740486.aspx#incompattoolbar to find out
which add-on is causing IE7 to close.

Internet Explorer / IE >> Tab browsing crashes IE7 - non tab it works fine
As a Microsoft stockholder, I try to avoid saying bad things about Microsoft,
but this case is an exception. Do everyone a favor and forward this to
anybody who's PC is not yet infected with IE7.
I recommend that you not download Internet Explorer 7. This program has big
problems and MSFT does not know how to fix them. IE7 erases all prior
Internet Explorers on your machine and MSFT does not allow you to go back and
re-download them after you get frustrated with IE7.
Microsoft is jamming this defective program down the throats of all PC users.

Internet Explorer / IE >> Tab browsing crashes IE7 - non tab it works fine
Thanks, Rocky!
I followed the suggestion in the release notes to test IE in "no add-ons"
mode, and my problem went away. I then uninstalled the suspect add-on and IE
runs just fine now.
Cheers,
Andrew
