Media Center >> Screensaver cuts in over TV... Any ideas why the screensaver kicks in while I'm watching
TV? I know the rest of the machine is not doing anything,
but their should be a specific Screensaver control for
MCE... maybe there is one, but I can't find it... Idea's
please

Media Center >> Screensaver cuts in over TV... First, is the TV window a foreground or background window when this happens?

And what type of system is this and is this a custom screen saver or a
standard MS screensaver? If a customer screen saver, does this occur with a
standard MS screen saver?

I know on my MCE system, the screensaver does not activate in while watching
TV - no matter how long I watch TV.

Media Center >> Screensaver cuts in over TV... If you are talking about the screensaer only coming on when TV is not
maximized then yes, this is a "feature"/Bug in 2004. I have noticed it when
playing music and displaying the coverart as well. There is an application
available at thegreenbbutton.com that will fix this.

Media Center >> Screensaver cuts in over TV... No This is by design. This assumption is that a user not running in full
screen is multi-tasking using the computer while watching TV.

I could understand that but what I dont understand is why when I hae MCE
maximized and am playing music and viewing the album covers the screensaver
comes on. It has been suggusted that this is to prevent screen burn in but
it seems to me that the MCE background is always moving and the coverart
will change so there is no need to be worried about this.

Please correct if I am wrong in my thinking. It just seems odd because MCE
v1 did not exhibit this behavior.
