File Sharing issues with Windows XP Media Center 2002 w/ SP2

Would appreciate anyone's help in troubleshooting below problem.



Trying to enable file sharing (pictures & music) between Windows XP Media

Center and Toshiba Regza 42" HDTV.



1st - Toshiba manual indicates that File Sharing capabilities are compatible

with Windows XP w SP2 (Home & Prof. Edition). Question: Is File sharing

operations equivalent between Home/Prof. & Media Center?



If so, current state is:



1) IP connectivity between XP & TV are operational. (e.g. Can ping IP

address of TV from PC)

2) File shraing is enabled on PC and Server process is started automatically.

3) Enabled workgroup, etc.





Problem:



When configuring TV for File Sharing, TV cannot locate Home Server Name

(e.g. my computer)



As TV has very limited troubleshooting capabiltiies built in, need to use PC

to troubleshoot.

Media Center runs under the SYSTEM context, so you'll have to adjust some

other permissions (i.e. it doesn't run under a normal user context).
