Monthly Re-Activation?

For about a year and after I download the automotic security updates from

Micorsoft, I am asked to activate Windows. The requirement states that I

have significantly changed my hardware. I have the same computer I have had

for the past four years, the only change has been the addition of a DVD

burner over a year ago.



I choose to activate via the internet and the activation, as always, is

successful in only a brief moment.



Why is this happening over and over again? I cannot return to the computer

manufatcurer to find a solution as they have since gone out of business due

to the services offerred by Circuit City.
