Hi,

I am not sure whether this is the right place, but please let me know. I have VS 2005 RTM version. I downloaded this weekend the new Windows SDK and the .NET Framework 3.;0 runtime components, and installed them on the machine I have VS.

I can code, build and debug WPF applications for example, but I do not see the templates that are supposed to be presented on VS2005 for WPF projects (WAPB, WAP desktop and control). I also do not see any type of Intellisense when writing a XAML file.

Am I doing something wrong Or, is a piece of SW I still need to install in order to see the .NET Framework and WPF, WCF working on it

I appreciate your answer.

You need to download the "Orcas" CTP for Visual Studio to get the WPF project templates and XAML Intellisense (actually, I'm not sure if the current CTP has XAML Intellisense or not - but VS2005 sure doesn't).

You can find the Orcas bits here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/future/ctp_downloads/default.aspx

Carl,

I followed the link but it does not take me anywhere near to the Orcas CTP that supports the RC1 .Net Framework 3.0. There is one link somewhere at MSDN but it says that it only supports June CTP version of .Net 3.0.

Or is not yet an official CTP for supporting the RC1

Thanks for your answer,

Doriak

Seems like the Orcas for RC1 is not yet released but due sometime this week...
