I am getting the following error during my attempt to get files into my workspace.

Unable to read data from the transport connection: An operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full.

What does it mean and how do I fix it

Thanks,
Maggie

If this is a repeatable problem using Source Control Explorer or the tf.exe command line please describe the repro steps in more detail. I suspect this is a transiant problem.

This is WinSock error WSAENOBUFS - and it typically means that your system had too few resources available for the operation to succeed. Usually a memory allocation failed.

If this happens I would suggest looking at your available resources (specifically memory) to see if there is an application that is causing the system to be in a low-memory condition.

Robert.

The problem occures in either the GUI or command line get. But I believe this problem is isolated to a single machine which means the memory allocation of that particular machine may be the root cause.

Thank you for your response anyway.
