Hello,

I don't know where to report a bug I found in IE7, so I'll drop it here for now... or... maybe someone can direct me where to report this officially ;)

bug description:

First I set IE7's Home Page to a local HTML file on my hard drive. When for some reason the link to the Home Page is no longer valid (say: the HTML file was renamed) then the drop down menu next to the 'Home' icon in the Command Bar is not accessible anymore... The only remaining way to re-set your Home Page is via the General Tab on the Internet Options menu.

I suggest to check the validity of the 'Home Pages' in that drop down menu and grey them out and/or add an indication of the invalidity and make the drop down menu accessible again, even though an error in a Home Page exists...

with kind regards,

Ray

Hey, I too am having the same problem. When I go to select a local HTML File as the homepage for the users at my company, it still defaults to go.microsoft.com. I can't get around this! I've tried deleting all stored home pages, clearing temp/IEcache all that good stuff, but for some reason the home page changes won't stick. Any information on this would be much appreciated.
