Yes it is major annoyance especially in the whole business community! It was reported that, especially in the U.S., billion dollars were loss in terms of time wasted just to delete the spams by employees. I think I have to correct my selection of word " explode" What I am trying to say is, it is very clear now that email in the mobile will become available to everyone soon! and the recent introduction of mobile with push-email technology by Nokia & Sony Ericson proves that it will going to happen. As we know, Microsoft, the leader in software technology, launch a recent marketing about the use of outlook via mobile. This is to position the company in this technology. I'm calling the attention of Microsoft engineers because we have now nearly 2 billion mobiles around the world and the computers are just near to 500 millions. When Bill Gates once mentioned that there were no companies other than Microsoft who seriously invest million of dollars to combat spam, he is talking about the computers. I believe, with the incoming availability of push-email to 2 billion mobile phones, the software community should think about spam for the second time because as of now, the current spam-filtering technology from Yahoo, MSN and ISP service providers, wherein we download the outlook emails, are not spam free but just throwing it to bulk email or junk email.
And believe me, I am not talking about my philosophy here. I am very much aware that this is a technology forum. I can guarantee you that I have a solution to combat spam and I am here to look for engineers who are into webmail technology.
