Exchange Servers Admin >> Sync'ing PDC with BDC in Exchange 5.5

Hi,
I am running a NT4.0 domain. I am unsure whether the BDC
is sync'ing with the PDC correctly. How can I check and /
or force a sync??

Look in the event logs on either system. You will see regular entries
either pushing out or pulling updates from the PDC
If you don't see any NETLOGON entries then you're not synching.

Exchange Servers Admin >> Sync'ing PDC with BDC in Exchange 5.5 Search for events from NETLOGON in System Event log on both PDC and BDC.

P.S. How that relates to Exchange Server?

Exchange Servers Admin >> Sync'ing PDC with BDC in Exchange 5.5 Hi again,

The Netlogon appears and always says partial sync 1 change
returned to the caller. But, how can I make sure that it
is doing the same in Exchange 5.5? When I open Exchange on
the BDC, it displays older reciprient info than on the
PDC??

Exchange Servers Admin >> Sync'ing PDC with BDC in Exchange 5.5 You probably are expecting Exchange to do what it is not designed,
namely to provide automagic failover in the same way PDC/BDC do?
Going back to original problem of old recipients, when you have
installed Exchange on BDC have you joined it to existing site or you
created new site?

Exchange Servers Admin >> Sync'ing PDC with BDC in Exchange 5.5 You mean in SiteName\Configuration\Servers container you see two
servers? How then you are viewing GAL on each of them?

As one is the BDC, do you have to manually copy the
mailboxes across to the BDC from the PDC in order to
ensure that if the PDC goes down we have some resiliance???

For some resilience make sure that your backup-restore procedure is
sound:
