Exchange Servers Admin >> ldp.exe in Exch 5.5 ResKit

Since I didnt get the answer to my question the first time would someone address the below message? One person did reply back saying that the file is available on the Win2k3 cd...I know that but I need to find the one off of the Exch 5.5 ResKit (unless I can use the one off of the Win2k/2k3 cd to modify Exchange???

Thanks,
Rand

OK, here is the deal. I run an Exchange 5.5 server on Windows NT in an NT4 domain. I have a mailbox that I created from the command line incorrectly. When I created the account I accedentally inserted an invalid character in the display name (and possibly elsewhere in the account, the character was the [`] character...not sure what it is called). Everytime I double click on the account to attempt to modify it (or delete it) I get an error (The object cannot be found in the directory. This may be because replication has not completed. c1010aae) and I cannot get rid of the account. I want to delete the account and recreate a new one, correctly of course, but I cannot seem to get rid of it. Now KB259282 says to use the ldp.exe utility off of the Exchange 5.5 resource kit for Exchange and ldp.exe off of the Windows 2000 resource kit for AD. Well, I can find the Windows 2000 version but I cannot seem to locate the one from the Exchange 5.5 resource kit. I subscribe to Technet and I looked on my Resource Kits DVD but I cannot locate this Reskit. I thought it might be on the Back Office Resource Kit 4.5 but it doesnt seem to be there either.

Does anyone have a clue as to where I can find this ResKit or at least the ldp.exe? Maybe it is on a MS ftp somewhere???? Any help would be appricated

Thanks,
Randy

ldp.exe is just an ldap client. You should be able to use the one
included with windows 2003 for your KB article.
