Exchange Servers Setup >> Uninstall E2k3 problem

Hi there,

I'm wondering whether anybody has removed old Exchange 2003. I've upgraded
to Exchange 2007 and also shut down Exchange 2003 for several weeks.
Everything looks fine and I'm going to remove Exchange 2003 that is only old
Exchange server. According to the article of remove Exchange 2003, I almost
did everything, even I've deleted routing connections on both 2003 and 2007
and RUS.

When I tried to remove Exchange 2003, it doesn't allow me to remove it
The component "Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services"
cannot be assigned the action "Remove" because: - One or more users
currently use a mailbox store on this server. These users must be moved to a
mailbox store on a different server or be mail disabled before uninstalling
this server.

It's an Enterprise Exchange 2003, only one Mailbox Store on it now, the
mailboxes on the mailbox store are SMTP, System Attendant, and
SystemMailbox. Do I need to delete this Mailbox Store before uninstalling
Exchange 2003?

If looking at Exchange 2007, no legacy mailbox, but I don't know whether I
have transferred contacts and mail user to the new server. They should be
related to AD not Exchange.

Suggestion please. Thanks.

Exchange Servers Setup >> Uninstall E2k3 problem We need exchange, cannot remove attributes from all users, but I did find
the user who has the home server on E2k3 but no mailbox. It's weird.

That's cuz it was never logged into or received a message.
Remove the attributes for just that account.

Exchange Servers Setup >> Uninstall E2k3 problem Yeah, but the problem is how to locate such users. The URL helps,

http://hellomate.typepad.com/exchange/2004/02/having_trouble_.html

I wish I could read it before I checked users' porperties one by one.
