Exchange Servers Admin >> Stop Exchange from sending out bad address report

I have a question concerning Exchange 2000, and bad addresses.

I want my exchange server to not send out a bad address message,
especially with the overwhelming amount of virus messages we have been
getting.

Where do I turn that off? I have done the following:

1. Open Exchange System Manager.
2. Expand and select Global Settings\Internet Message Formats.
3. You will see an entry on the right for Default. Right click on
Default
and then select Properties. Go to the Advanced tab. Uncheck the option
"Allow non-delivery reports" and then click on OK.

Do I need to stop and restart a service or anything to get this to
take effect? Thanks!

Exchange Servers Admin >> Stop Exchange from sending out bad address report I would restart at least SMTP. You could test from an external account to
see if it still gets the NDR.

Hope that helps,
