I am using the MPI Cluster Debugger. When I run an app, a menu item entitled "View Array" appears below "Quick Watch" on the Debug pulldown menu. It is grayed out, and I have been unable to figure out to activate it, let alone use it.

I was hoping that it would provide some sort of array visualization feature like the Etnus TotalView or Allinea DDT parallel debuggers.

I have searched the online help and forums, but I have been unable to find any documentation on this feature.

The only "array visualization" that the native C++ debugger performs is visualization for STL vector<> types. The "View Array" menu item is not one that I have not seen before and it's unlikely that it's brought in by the C++ debugger.

I don't know how you ended up with the "View Array" menu item on your menus. But I have two possible explanations:

1. Some third party tool that you have added this menu

2. You set your user profile to something other than "C++ developer". Maybe this other profile adds a menu item that eventually gets disabled in the C++ context because we don't support it. Can you try resetting your profile (Tools | Import and Export Settings) to C++ and see if the menu item is gone
