If anyone is interested in
or two-thousand six at ronhudson dot-you-know-what. I will pay a bonus to the first person who can help me get the audio working on the platform I'm using now, or to the first person who can prove that my current machine/tuner card won't work with ds.net. There will be more follow-on work for this project if someone is looking for a nice little side job. For example, I can pay up to $1500 if someone can help me with the digital tuning piece. I know that these are questionably-low rates for this kind of work, but I just want everyone to know I don't EXPECT to get good help for free. I also plan to do as much of the actual programming as possible myself, but I'm looking for someone who can guide and mentor me when I get stuck, as I am on the audio now.

I will write about my project here so that others might benefit if they have a similar issue. It would be nice if we could work-out this problem together here on the forum.

Platform:

XP Pro SP2
Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
512 MB Memory
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Dual Outputs - 128 MB Memory each

TV Tuner Card: new ATI HDTV All-In-Wonder

This link shows the GraphEdit shot alog with a screen shot of DxTuner displaying the video correctly:

http://www.hide-link.com/

As you can see, the audio hardware appears to have been added to the graph, but it doesn't render. The audio works fine if I use the Multimedia player application that came with the card.

I'll post some more information in a separate message. Would appreciate any thoughts or comments anyone might have, even if you just want to congratulate me for getting GraphEdit to work (since this is my first DirectShow project).

Your filter graph is correct.  Here is a screen shot of mine from grafedit:

You need to configure the crossbar filter correctly to hear audio.

In GrafEdit, open the properties dialog for the crossbar filter.   On the output side, select "Video Decoder Out" from the popup menu.  And then on the input side, select "Video Tuner In" from that popup menu and check the "Link Related Streams" check box.  Then press the "Apply" button.  See this screen shot:

Next, go back to the output side, select "Audio Decoder Out" from the popup menu.  And then on the input side, select "Audio Tuner In" from that popup menu and check the "Link Related Streams" check box.  Then press the "Apply" button.  See this screen shot:

You should now be hearing your audio.

Edit: Corrected an error.  It should say "Audio Decoder Out" not "Analog Decoder Out"

or post here if you know how to do this programmatically. Will pay $150 for a DirectShow.NET code solution that works.

im sorry but your question is not valid for these forums. These forums are for software development on the MS platform, specifically for Windows Vista.

The best place to ask your question would be to contact the vendor of your product for technical support assistance, alternatively maybe someone can answer over at the appropriate communities:

www.microsoft.com/communities

Thanks!
