I am trying to access a web service i've hosted in internet, from behind proxy server (AnalogX Proxy to be precise).

I have my internet explorer properly configred with the proxy address, as i can browse the intenet and also access the web service from IE.

However i am trying to use exactly same address from my .NET 1.1 Windows application, but it ends up giving "Time out" exception. Ive tried setting proxy both, directly and by trying to pick it up from browser's settings:

Myservice service = new Myservice();
service.Proxy = System.Net.WebProxy.GetDefaultProxy();
service.remoteMethod();

Second method i tried:

Myservice service = new Myservice();
System.Net.IWebProxy proxyObject = new System.Net.WebProxy(http://proxyServerIP:Port, true);
service.Proxy = proxyObject;
service.remoteMethod();

Is there any thing additional i need to do. What are the possible reasons it should say TimeOut exception

Even though this is a web service question, I'm going to try moving it to the .net framework networking forum to see if gets a better response there. I'm sure they'll have some suggestions!

thanks
