I don't know what exactly is your need, but i use ABCpdf .NET to print none report content to pdf, and i use crystal reports engine to save reports in pdf.
Link for ABCpdf .NET is: http://www.websupergoo.com/products.htm#pd

Thanks for the response.

Im making an application that should be able to export what ever document is open. Basically whatever the print out looks like i would like to export it. If you use crystal engine is it possible to write a pdf without creating a layout In other words at run-time i say to crystal i want a pdf with this in it.

The link you provided is for a pdf writer but not for free, i was hoping maybe visual would have pdf libaries....can anyone confirm if it does or not

Thanks in advance

THere's a couple of free options. THe easiest is CutePDF, which installs as a print driver. YOu just print to this pseudo-printer, and it save it as a PDF.

Then there's the iText library, which is a Java library for manipulating PDFs, much like SuperGoo There are a couple different .NEt port of it. Check SourceForge.Net

i have the iText-2.0.4 .jar file (http://www.lowagie.com/iText/download.html)

WHERE do i place this jar file to use it in a VB.NET windows application so i can use it to make a PDF (How do i make it part of my library list )

As i understand it, once iTrax is part of the COM library:...

project is opened and "Add Reference" is used to select iText from theLibrary in the COM section.

(the following is also requiredSmile

Imports System

Imports com.lowagie.text

Imports com.lowagie.text.pdf
Imports com.lowagie.tools // depending on application
Imports java.io

Thanks in advance
