Hi all,

i have been assigned a task that involves integration with outlook 2003

The task invoves transfering mails from the outlook to the application i am supposed to design.

On right clicking a particular mail in the outlook an item should be there in the context menu

"Like transfer this mail to my application " when the user clicks on this ,a window has to open,

which will ask for username and password, after verifing this the mail should get transfered to my

database, which i can access from my application.

i have really no idea of how to create plug-ins or wat ever is required to acheive it in outlook and how can i integrate it with my application.

I am using Visual Studio 2005,

i shall be keen to see ur replies and suggestions
Thanks

Hi,

I do not believe it is possible with .net to hook into the context menu inside of Outlook. It may be possible to do this with c++ but last I knew it was not possible with .net. There are plenty of articles about creating Outlook plugins. Just do a quick search on google and you will see a bunch of sites that have information on this. One good place to look for Outlook information might be on www.slipstick.com
