W3wp.exe Application Error - Exeception breakpoint - break point has reached

Hi All,

We are getting following error message on our Win2003 server. "W3wp.exe Application Error - Exeception breakpoint - break point has reached". We are running the Asp.net2.0,1.1 and SQL 2005 and IIS6.0. for this application is pointing Asp.net1.1 and sql 2005 and we are added one ISAPI filteration for SEO friendly URL. We are getting above error message.... AOur application is not ruuning...

For ISAPI filtration dll, we are used VC++ -> MFC6.0.

The exception is telling you that a breakpoint (INT 3, I believe) is being hit. If you were running in a debugger the debugger would throw you to the line. This is indicative of debug builds and/or debug code that triggers a breakpoint for an assertion failure. Since the exception is not in managed code I believe it is in your ISAPI filter. You should look in your ISAPI filter for assertions and add some logging (or simply debug the filter) to identify the cause. Note that if you build a release version of the filter then the exception will probably go away but you'll likely have a different exception down the road like an access violation or something.

Note also that I can't really recommend that you use MFC in an ISAPI filter. The overhead is pretty high. If you are running VS2003+ you should switch over to the shared ATL/MFC class libraries (I'm assuming that you are only using the collection, string or COM classes here) to reduce the overhead.
