MFC GUI Development Libraries

Visual Studio297
I am evaluating the Stingray Studio by RogueWave software and the Ultimate

Grid/Toolbox by Dundas software to determine if they are good MFC extension

software classes for GUI development in VC++. Does anyone have any

rave/recommend/horror/stay-away stories about these products? Also, are

there any suggestions for a good set of MFC GUI tools? I would like to have

C++ MFC source, not just ActiveX controls.

...many thanks in advance...

Re:MFC GUI Development Libraries

I use the one from CodeJock XTreme Toolkit. It is mostly UI stuff, but the

implementation is good and it's really easy to use (at least it has been for

me). They just released a new version with some new widgets and new look

and feel options. It comes with full source code.

Re:MFC GUI Development Libraries

Both RogueWave and Dundas took a very long time to adapt their class

libraries to the look and feel of XP, so I went right off them. Quite a

change from the early days of Dundas, when they boasted of a new class every

month. I heard that the entire Stingray development team left, or were

dismissed from RogueWave, when the arrival of Visual Studio .Net made the

future of MFC look very uncertain. Not exactly a glowing recommendation,

but if those libraries solve your problems ...
