Can VB6 be run in Windows XP on computer?
Visual Studio191
We just installed a new hard drive and upgraded to Windows XP . Everything on the old drive was left there. I just need to know if I need to re-install VB6 and Studio on the new hard drive or can I use VB6 from the old drive? Also, are there any compatibility problems with running Windows XP and VB6? Thank you in advance for your help. Ginger - |

If you mirrored the drives then it will run as is. If you installed XP on
the new drive then you'll need to install any program that you want to run. VB6.0 and VC++ 6.0 runs fine on XP. "Ginger" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com>wrote in message QuoteWe just installed a new hard drive and upgraded to Windows - |

Thank you so much. No, the drives are not mirrored, so I'll re-install. Once again, thank you.

You need to reinstall, in order to set up the registry entries correctly.
You can have it reinstall over the old copy so there is only one on the system, if you want. -- Randy Birch MVP Visual Basic www.mvps.org/vbnet/">www.mvps.org/vbnet/ Please respond only to the newsgroups so all can benefit.
