I want to read/write Visual FoxPro data (VFP9 SP1) from SQL Server 2000, 2005, and Express. I believe this can be done thru Linked Server. I hope someone can provide me more information about Linked Server to VFP including pros and cons and potential issues.

You can only query via a linked server. Instead you might use OpenRowset(),OpendDataSource() and with SQL2005 routines written in C# (haven't yet tested this myself but since CLR is there and you can write UDF,UDT,SP in C# this sounds to be a perfect option to me).
