Excel Misc >> Military Time Data Entry

In Exce 2002, is there any way to format a cell so that you can type 1345 and
have it appear as military time 13:45?

Thank you for your help.

Excel Misc >> Military Time Data Entry I think I might have accidently replied to this question to a different
person... if not this will be the same answer as the previous post... but if
not

Select all the cells you want that format to show up as

Go to Format----> Cells----> Number

Select Custom from the list
In the Custom field type

##":"##

Then press enter.

The operative word being "appear".

Your suggested custom format will not actually produce a valid time.

You need VBA code for that.

See Richard's response with the link to Chip's site.
