worksheet functions >> Multiple Criteria and Adding Them Together
I have a multiple column worksheet and I am trying to setup a formula or
function that will take the date and total the number of sales for that
day and then also break them down into 3 catagories. The only thing I
need help on is the first formula and then the rest is just swapping
out the category name in the search... Let me show you guys the setup
of the worksheet.

something like this where a1 contains the date. ranges must be the same
size.
=sumproduct((daterange=a1)*(categoryrange="cat1")*salesrange)

Hi
not really sure about your data. Could you explain in plain text what
you're trying to add. e.g. add column B where column a conatins the
value y....

worksheet functions >> Multiple Criteria and Adding Them Together
What I am trying to do is setup a worksheet that in Column A has th
date setup 09/07/2004 and then in column F it states 3 differen
possiblities like Post Pay, Clear Pay, or Chat Pak.. What I am tryin
to do is seperate per day what was sold.. If we sold 3 post pay and
chat pak on 09/07/2004 then it will put that in the proper section o
my additional worksheet

Did you see my post? where a1 contains the date you want
=sumproduct((a2:a22=a1)*(f2:f22="Post Pay")) to count them
=sumproduct((a2:a22=a1)*(f2:f22="Post Pay")*c2:c22) to sum if sales in col C
