worksheet functions >> auto calculate not working

I import a file and paste as CSV. I believe everything is considered text
then, but there are numbers as well. The worksheet has over 4000 lines. I
try to concantenate two cells (ie. a2 and b2). I use the function, but the
result shows the formula. What I want is the new value or the string of
words. I have checked my options and the auto calculate is turned on. I
even try the various F9 keys.

worksheet functions >> auto calculate not working Under 'Tools'...'options'....'window options' do you have the formulas box
checked? If so uncheck that box.

worksheet functions >> auto calculate not working Did you format the row you are putting the concatenate as general before
entering the formula? (Also even numbers can be considered text if imported
as text I believe.)

worksheet functions >> auto calculate not working Hi

It sounds like your cell was formatted as Text before you typed in the
formula. Format it as General and re-enter your formula.
Just because a file is CSV does not mean that all entries are treated as
text. Numbers will still remain numbers.

Andy.
