Does any one have any Idea how to fix this - a dcdiag is clean and the
server appears to be working fine, although RWW into the server is very slow
even thought itâ??s on ADSL2+, yet a Remote Desktop Connection to the same
server is ok.

- Crm >> Generate Email Activity without sending itI'd like to be able to generate an email activity in the CRM workflow
without sending the email. So far it appears the best I can do is
generate an email and THEN send it. What I want is for the email to
show up in the Activities listing for a user, so that they can use their
judgment as to whether or not it should be sent.
Thoughts on how to do this?

keep the Remote Web Workplace feature?
Seems like it wouldnt be too hard to just hack this into 2003 server, it
cant be too much more than some ASP pages with an activex control can it?

- Messanger >> Blaster-like behaviors since I loaded MSN Msgr 6.2I have XP Pro SP2 installed. Shortly after I installed MSN Messenger 6.2 I
began to get the familiar "Services and Controller app" dialog that asks me
to send the report to MS. I do each time. As soon as I press "Send Report"
I get the "System Shutdown" dialog with the messgage
"The system is shutting down. Please save...<omit verbiage> initiated by NT
AUTHORITY\SYSTEM"
-and-
"The system process ...services.exe terminated unexpectedly with a return
code of -1."
What gives? I am patched for Blaster and direvitives and even ran
"BlasterFix.exe". It said all clear. There were no suspicious registry
entries.
This started after MSN Mgr 6.2 was added. I saw lots of posts but no
resolutions. Also, MSN Mgr 7 Beta was attacked as well.
Please advise.

Our company would like to deploy CRM 3.0 on a virtual server. A few day ago
I found this White Paper

where on the page 62 you can found that using CRM on a VM decrease
performance of CRM:
Deploying Microsoft Dynamics CRM to Virtual Servers
Deploying Microsoft Dynamics CRM in a virtual environment is not supported
in production. You can install Microsoft Dynamics CRM on computers that are
running either Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 or Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 (or
latest version). However, note the following support conditions:
â?¢ Because of decreased performance, do not use Microsoft Dynamics CRM
running on a virtual server as your main production business environment.
â?¢ Microsoft Customer Support Services will consider Collaboration Requests
and hotfix investigations for issues that involve Microsoft Dynamics CRM and
Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 or Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 only in test,
development, and demonstration systems.
Does somebody has expirience with it?

- Messanger >> MSN 7 failure!Recently downloaded msn 7 and the windows stay open for
sometimes a few seconds and sometimes a few minutes. How
can i stop this? i know a few other ppl experiencing
this. I'd rather have msn 6 back as much i love the new
version.

I installed CRM Sales for Outlook.
Everything seems fine, however I cannot see the detail when I click any
items such as Accounts, Invoices and leads.
A window pops up and tells me an error happened
And in the event viewer, I got the following message :

- Crm >> Corporate Media, Imaging and ActivationThis is more of a licensing/activation issue than a
technical one. How ever having tried numerous
other 'official' sources, I am hoping you can help me
(its difficult trying to find some one who knows the facts
on things like this)
Scenario:
We are in the process of purchasing 30+ Dell p/c's. They
will all have XP Pro. and Office 2003 etc. The original
Dell quote is for OEM software (for the moment). We also
want to purchase an Enterprise version of Ghost and image
each machine with a single master image.
Question:
What is the best way to approach this?. The problem is on
the activation side. We can not just image a single
machine and then push that out it to each machine with out
violating the OEM license and 'your' activation process
(i.e. it simply wouldn't work right?). Would we need some
form of Corporate media to achieve this?. If so, how do we
go about obtaining the right media and from where?.

Has anyone actually, in reality and in fact, used SQL Reporting Services to create reports against the CRM databases
I agree that in theory it can be done, but it would be great to hear from someone who actually has done it in a live production environment

- SBS >> Server Restore - What to backup and how?Hey folks,
I've got a SBS 2003 Preimum server that was botched up by a tech support
guy. I've spent hundreds of dollars with another company and we still can't
fix the problems so I'm thinking it's time to just FORMAT and start over.
My question is, what all do I need to back up for this besides the user
files? How do I export or backup the exchange database to restore in the new
system? Is there anything else that should be backed up?
Any help is most apprecated!

- Crm >> Can't create relationship to Order ProductI wanted to create a custom entity named Serial Number and build a
relationship between it and the Order Product. But it seems I can't.
Am I doing something wrong?
We ship products that have serial numbers and require registration. My
intention was to create a new Serial Number entity to track this
information and have one related to each Order Product. This way our
users couold see this information but could also search for a Serial
Number find the originating order.
I thought about just adding attributes for Serial Number, etc to the
Order Product entity but then I don't know how they would search by
Serial Number.
Any ideas or suggestions?

how to achieve this.
Already tried to use the server operator pofile but that didn't work
out.

SBS is not designed to do this. You should get a separate Terminal Server
for this process.

- Compact >> DesignerSerializationVisibilityI've written a number of custom controls for the compact framework.
When I use one of these controls on my forms, it generates a line
like: "this.SelectedItem = null". This causes my code to go nuts and
I'd like to suppress this code generation for the "SelectedItem"
property. I though the attribute
"System.ComponentModel.DesignerSerializationVisibility" woud take are
of it, but that's doesn't seem to be available in the compact
framework.

- SBS >> Driver for NEC DVD+RW ND-2100ADI have a Pavilion a630n with a built in NEC DVD+RW ND-2100AD burner. Since
upgrading that machine to SBS 2003, the burner doesn't work. It can read
CD/DVDs, but when I put in a blank, the machine slows to a crawl, and I get
errors when trying tot drag a file to the drive (F:\ is not accessible.
Incorrect Function). The plus sign appears, but the drive won't accept
files. It's odd, because the "Properties" lists the the CD as a CD-R.
Anyway, is there an updated driver for this drive or something else I should
try?

office every day or after 1 or 2 hours and when i chech the CRM server it
stoped and when try to start it http://crmweb then it hangup for long time
and mostly i get error after shut down and restart server it works well or i

The result I recieve when there is supposed to be a date is the date
mask (yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss) instead of the actual value of the date.

- Crm >> CRM Exchange Router ErrorsI'm trying to setup the CRM Exchange Router so that is will forward any email
from support@company.com directly into CRM. The queue is already created in
CRM for this email address.
The error that I get right after it verifies the various accounts:
â??Queue 'support' cannot be resolved because its e-mail address
'support@company.com' could not be found for any user in Active Directory.â??
The thing is there is a group in Active Directory that has this email
address assigned to its members.
As a test I tried another account (which is not a group), and created a new
queue, me@company.com and I get this error instead:
â??Failed to initialize the rule management subsystem.â??
Anyone have any ideas on this one?

on the program, I was asked for a password to access my money file. Since I
haven't established a password, what do I enter? I tried the password I use

- SVCS >> Imbedded Matrix in Table causes odd spacingI have to imbed a matix within a table, and when I do I get some really
weird spacing. Between each column group I end up with big chunks of
spacing. I have checked all the cell padding properites and they're all
set to zero. The column widths look correct, its just this huge space
in between the columns that I can't get rid of.

I would appreciate some thoughts on a plan I intend to make.
Current situation - Vanilla SBS 2003 - Two Nics, Local and External.
SMTP mail routed by firewall to External card etc. No problems
I have purchased a Watchguard Firebox X700 Firewall as they are getting
into remote offices and wanted a more flexible firewall to cater for
future growth.
The firebox in routed mode wants to sit as the local gateway rather
than on the perimeter of the external network. The firebox has a
secondary network interface which can then connect to the external
servers NIC for selected protocols, SMTP etc. Are there any issues with
running like this?
Is it ok to use ICW to set the gateway as the Firebox's local
address. Will all services then route out via the firebox to the
internet without any issues?
If I then route SMTP to the external card via the secondary network on
the firebox will it receive this traffic even though the server is no
longer setup as the gateway?
All help appreciated.
