I have an advanced find where I am trying to bring in some information from
the 'related to' lead on an appointment. No matter what lead field I
select, no data is returned for that column. Has anyone seen this behavior
or had any issues with this?

- SBS >> SBS2003 with Terminal Server running side by sideI have just installed two servers. Both Dual Xeon's.
One runs SBS2003, the other Windows 2003 acting as a Terminal Server
I have two queries.
1.
Ive Installing the Outlook 2003 client in add/remove programs on the
Terminal Server & it performed fine for 3 days, then for all users Outlook
started prompting "Do you want to start Outlook in safe mode?". I located and
performed the following...

This fixes the problem for about one day then the problem reoccurs for all
users.
Is there any other way to stop Outlook from prompting to start in safe mode ?

I have removed 'Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration' from both
servers but users still cannot access 'internet options, security, custom
level' it must be to do with my configuration, how do i fix this ?

- Crm >> MailMerge missing from Outlook 2007 and IE7Hi all
Yesterday I was running Windows XP with MS Office 2003 and MS CRM 3
Client.
When I highlighted an account and went to the "more actions" I could
select "Mail Merge"
Today my PC has been upgraded to Vista with MS Offce 2007 and MS CRM 3
Client (3.0.5300.0)
Now when I highlight an account the Mail Merge option has GONE!!!
I check the CRM permissions and nothing has changed, I tried removing
them and putting them back, and nothing.
I have ensured the server is in the trusted zones on IE.
I get the same problem running doing this from the Outlook Client
aswell as IE7
This all worked fine until the workstation upgrade, so am I missing a
patch somewhere? Either server or client side maybe??
Any ideas... I'm stuck....

What I'm trying to do is to capture the screen content to byte array
and than create a bitmap from it and than save it to disk.
or If I could find some code to replace .net framework's
Image.FromHbitmap() functionality that would do too.

- Messanger >> Login fails without error messageHi,
I'm a MSN messenger user since long ago.
This morning when I came to my computer, I found that MSN
Messenger had crashed, and when restarting it, I can no
longer login. No error messages or nothing, it just waits a
while, and then returns to the screen where I can click on
a button to sign in.
The status information page says all systems are up and
running, but still no login, and no message reporting an
error?! Very frustrating. Any help greatly appreciated.

when I try to click on the "bills" section. Everytime I try to go to the
"bills" section, the program informs me that it has encountered an error and
needs to close. Other aspects of my file seem unharmed. Any suggestions?

- SBS >> Adding New user via WizardWhen adding a new user and it is confirming address details it always brings
up Guernsey instead of UK. Is there anyway I can change this, with out
having to change it each time I run the wizard. I have done numerous
installs for different people and it is always the same.

- Compact >> Problems installing Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK?Has anyone besides me had problems (and figured out why) installing
the 5.0 SDK? I tried it on a fresh install of XP Pro SP2 with just
vs2005 test edition installed. It would go through 100% and then hang
without finishing.
I'm thinking it might only be me because I don't see any posts of
problems. I'm using an inspiron 8600 with 1.5gig RAM. Everything
else is standard.

Have an SBS 2003 server, has been fine for ages.
The COMPANY web does not appear to be working today - Page cannot be found.
Nothing notable in the event viewer and no changes that I can see since it
was working.
Any logical steps to look at ?

- SBS >> RRAS-problems accessing from clientI have configured RRAS on SBS 2003 and I cannot connect
the way I have many times in the past with Server 2000. I
have setup RRAS with defaults, set the policy to allow and
set up the user in AD with grant access in the dial up
tab. From the client (WinXP) ovr the internet, I
configured the usual settings-ip address, disabled gateway
on remote network etc. It seems that I can connect to the
RRAS server but authentication never happens (it just sits
there when checking username and password phase. I have
opened the Internet router with port 1723. Is there any
other port I need open. I am not using the SBS server in
multihomed mode-I use a DSL router.

I can get "chat" to work, "video and chat"...
but not "audio" or "audio and video"... and ideas?

Everything works fine except for the sales for outlook.
The task buttons on top like create crm contact and 'crm activity' et
work fine. But when i try to open one of the folders lik

I facing one funny problem at CRM3.0, i am export ISV.config to one xml
file, after that i import back that ISV.config immediately without changing
anything. But it come out error message said
Import has encountered an error and has been canceled.
Your system has been restored to its original state. Import has been
canceled because the ISV.config file could not be imported. Check that the
file format is valid.
Please help me. I really don't understand this CRM3 why so complicated????

Last time my user wanted to capture info regarding entertainment expense
associate with the opportunity. This has been accomodated by creating new
entity.
When the opportunity is closed either won/lost, the entertainment expense
associate to that opportunity must be change also its status.
I have noticed that statecode in opportunity is defined either open, won or
lost. However the statecode in customize entity is either active or
deactivate.
Question:
1. Can the state code for customize entity be changed so the value will
represent the same value as opportunity state code? how to do that?
What i am thinking is that if both value in statecode are the same, maybe i
can map both entities. However i am not sure also whether after mapping the
change status from opportunity will be taken into expense form or not.
Or any better workaround here?

- SBS >> Problem joinning a domain from a subnetHi All
I have two servers in different subnets. One of them is a domain and dns
server and the other is in a DMZ, but currently all traffic is permited
through the firewall.
Both servers have static ips.
When i try to join the server in the dmz to the domain of the principal
server it gives me this error:
"The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted"
A ping works without problems.
I've tried installing wins in the domain server and editing the lmhosts
files according to manual pages in support.microsoft.com, but none of this
solutions seem to work.
Other computers in the same subnet work flawlessly.
¿Is there anything special that should be done to join a computer to a
domain server form a different subnet?

Well, let's put it this way - just because this is the first time it's happened in this way,
from these people, on this scale, doesn't mean that it hasn't happened before, on a lesser
scale. At university there were people who quite overtly hated me and would have wished
something nasty to happen to me. Because of where I went making the wrong sort of enemies
is pretty deadly.
"They" would wish to assassinate my character because it had all been done before, and
because they knew I would not be able to react in any other way than I'd reacted previously.

This was four, five years ago... sorry, I don't remember. I can remember individual incidents,
words which were repeated by different people at different times in different locations.
Around the end of 1992 Private Eye rtan a front-cover with John and Norma Major, with
the title "Major's support lowest ever" and John saying to Norma "Come back norma" on the
front cover. What can you read in to that? Not a lot, seems like standard fare for PE.
The first time I saw it I was in the pub with some people from work. One was expressing doubts
to the other (let's call the first one Simon, shall we? and the second one Phil?) about
whether what was going on was right. Phil's answer was that if Private Eye was doing it
then it must be ok, "they're usually right".
A few days later, again near work, there were some students laughing in the street,
"Were you COMING BACK later? But I thought you said you were COMING BACK ha ha ha?"
Play on words, you see. Not very nice, either. I had start medication soon afterwards.

Sometyime in spring 1994. I can't remember the date, I heard the broadcast in the
car - I was going into the office from London that day and just happened to snap

It's an alias. I'm not English by ethnic origin. If someone manages to pronounce
my name as well as that guy did then they must have been really trying.

The company that organized the trip went out of business some time ago, so they won't

Aaaarrrrgh. I think I should make clear that that's their created justification
rather than the real reason. They started harassing first and then came up with the

times over the last 3 months so I'm trying to set up Auditing so that if
someone deletes a files or directory then that actions will get logged.
I know that SBS has this capability but I can't find anything on it. I know
I'm just missing it but I would really appreciate a Step-By-Step if anyone
has it.

My situation is: I have two customizations: one for businessA and the other
for businessB. Can I have two customizations by creating two business units
for each of them? Like
Business Unit A with Customization A
Business Unit B with Customization B
under CRM3.0. Because I don't want to have many boxs for each business.
This is urgent question, please help.

- SBS >> CEICW Doesn't check for / disable ICS?Hi:
I'm setting up SBS 2003 Premium from SP1-integrated media on a new hardware
for migration from an existing SBS 2003 box. The new hardware has an eSATA
adapter and an eSATA/USB external hard drive for my backup device. It does
have 2 NICs.
To ensure bare-metal recoverability, I am performing both an ASR backup and
a NT backup on my System and Data partitions. For testing recoverability, I
zap my disk and run ASR / System Partition / Data Partition restores between
major phases of SBS Setup. Each phase should reboot with a clean eventlog
before proceeding to the next.
So far, the phases have been:
1. Setup from CD1, add Data partition, install hardware device drivers, no
SBS Setup
2. SBS Setup with all components. Exchange data stored on Data partition.
3. Add SQL Server, MSSQL data on Data partition.
4. Run CEICW. (subject for this post)
5. Add ISA Server (Not done yet)
At the end of #4, before the backup is made, I rebooted the server and got
an eventlog entry complaining that ICS couldn't load beacause the requested
resource is in use. I ran CEICW again, cleared the event logs, and rebooted
the server, but no change. It's only when I manually DISABLE the ICS service
that the event log reboots clean. As a sanity check, I ran CEICW again,
server rebooted clean, ICS is disabled.
Since ICS should NOT be run on SBS, is CEICW not checking for the ICS
service, and disable it if it exists? Is this a know bug?
