SBS >> Cannot Receive E-mail @ client from Exchange 2003 SBS2003 I am using SBS2003 on a non-static DSL line from my ISP. I have Dynamic DNS
service from No-IP set up and all is working OK with it. ( I can connect to
the serve from anywhere and I can telnet to the mail.mydomain.com and send
mail to myself from an external location.)
I'm using their smart hosting service to send mail and it is working fine.
I CANNOT receive mail. At the outlook client No mail comes in. I am somtimes
able to go to the server exchange admin message tracking and see messages
come in and it says they are routed to the correct mail store. I look at the
mail store and the # of messages increases appropriatley. I NEVER see a
message come to the outlook client.

PLEASE HELP, I'm missing e-mail that is very important to me.

I thank you in advance for your support.

SBS >> Cannot Receive E-mail @ client from Exchange 2003 SBS2003 It sounds like you may have some filtering going on in Outlook ?

The big easy hammer would be to delete the outlook profile on a workstation,
and create a new one with defaults.

Start | Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles.
Delete them.

Start Outlook, working through the setup wizard to create a new profile
connecting to your exchange server.

SBS >> Cannot Receive E-mail @ client from Exchange 2003 SBS2003 Thank you I will try this on ONE.
But it doesn't explain all my outlook clients not being able to receive?

SBS >> Cannot Receive E-mail @ client from Exchange 2003 SBS2003 1SE

Is the Exchange server listed as a transport in the mapi profile on the
client machine? If not create a new mapi profile and select Exchange Server
during the wizard. It should prompt you for the name of the Server and your
email accunt. When prompted enter the netbios name of your server and your
username, and then follow the rest of the instructions . Can you access
mail via Outlook Web Access on the server?

I hope this helps

SBS >> Cannot Receive E-mail @ client from Exchange 2003 SBS2003 No it doesen't really explain anything, it's just something to try without
having to explain anything ;-).

The other thing you can do, to make sure the mail is actually in the users
Exchange mailbox, is OWA.

From a workstation, Start | Run > https://servername/exchange and log in
with appropriate username/pwd. If the mail is there, then it's an outlook
issue.

SBS >> Cannot Receive E-mail @ client from Exchange 2003 SBS2003 I think this may have something to do with the primary e-mail address.
My OTHER clients seem to be working now.
I am Still broken.
I recently tried to change my primary e-mail address on the user
properties/e-mail addresses tab.
It would always switch back to the default as soon as I clicked on OK, even
if I clicked on apply first it would accept it but the next time I opened
the window it would switch back.
I finally got it to stay what I wanted it to be by changing it on the user
properties/e-mail addresses tab AND the General tab.
But at the next opening of the 'manage users' screen, in server management,
it was switched back again.

So it appears I cannot get to my e-mail store now.
I'm guessing??
