- Money >> 401K transactions in Money 2004.Ever since Vanguard switched to use OFX instead of QIF format for
transaction download I have been unable to receive true sell/buy
transactions. Instead I get my total account value which creates share
adjustment transactions. According to Vanguard, this problem has to do with
the way MS Money implemented OFX standard. Does anyone know if this problem
has been resolved. Thanks.

- Money >> Money 2007 running balance BUGHi all,
I was hoping someone else could help verify this. I'm using Money 2007, and
I automatically download balances/transactions from my bank (Bank of
America). I noticed today that my running balance (in Money) was way off from
where I thought it should be; on investigation, I found that money is
re-subtracting reconciled transactions in my register despite the fact they
have already been subtracted from my account balance. Here's a fictional
example of what I mean:
I start the day with a $100 account balance, and make five transactions:
Breakfast - $5
Lunch - $10
ATM Withdrawal - $50
Dinner - $10
Dessert - $5
-----------------------
New balance: $20
Now, because ATM withdrawals clear my account sooner than other
transactions, my bank updates my account balance the next day to subtract the
ATM withdrawal, and keeps the remaining purchases pending (as they take 2-3
days to clear). My actual account balance is now $50, with $30 in additional
pending transactions. Money 2007 has been recording it this way, though:
Account balance $50
-------------------------
Breakfast - $5 / $45 (new balance)
Lunch - $10 / $35
(R) ATM Withdrawal - $50 / -$15
Dinner - $10 / -$25
Dessert - $5 / -$30
-------------------------
New balance: -$30
As you can imagine, I was quite shocked at first to see Money telling me
that I had a negative balance (albeit with a much larger disparity!) until I
figured out what was going on. Does anyone know if this is standard behavior
for money (and can I turn it off?) or is this a bug of some sort?

- SVCS >> How to replicate reports between two SSRS 2005 instances?I need to have two separate SSRS 2005 instances instead of a clustered
instance of SSRS 2005 to provide better performance via load balancing. I
want to have them synchronized together to provide the reliability that comes
with clustering. Can someone please provide me with details on how to
replicate just the reports created in both SSRS 2005 instances instead of the
entire database? I've tried replicating the entire database and that caused
problems with the subscriber.

- SBS >> Can sharing be switched back?I set simple file sharing to enable profile migration when adding machines
to domain. After they're added, can I revert back to customizable sharing
(or whatever its called)
xp required share was 'system' I don't see this in the sbs among users,
computers and groups. I wish only for only 1 user to have access to a
folder. besides the user, what else is necessary?

- Crm >> Picklist Values start at 200,000?Has anyone else come accross an issue where, after upgrading to CRM 4, any
new picklist values you enter begin with the number 200,000?
I have a Lead Source picklist that left off at number 12 in CRM 3.0. When I
went into the attribute to add another item (which should have been number
13), it began with number 200,000.???

- SBS >> VPN shutting down ExchangeI'm running SBS 2003. I set up a symantec 200R Firewall and when I VPN into
the system it shuts down the Exchange server in sbs.
Any ideas where to start looking.

- SVCS >> Issue altering a table after applying Hotfix 821334 need to instalAfter I installed the hotfix required to install the Reporting Server Service
I can no longer alter a table. I get the message:
ODBC error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Invalid cursor state
I have also installed sp1 for the reporting service and still have the same
problem.
Is there a fix for this?

I ask this for we're gonna use the equipments for sales representative
people and it would be nice to explore the easiness of e-mailing but
reducing (if possible, to zero) the risks of viruses and storage space, as
they are big problems already in the desktop environment...

- SVCS >> Pie Chart 'slices' sizing issueHi all.
New to charts in SQL2005 RS, experimenting with 'my first pie chart'.
I have pretty uniform data that when grouped, results in 50% one slice, 50%
another slice, but when the pie renders, the slices aren't equal sizes. I'm
convinced my datasets are correct, and that my percentage values are right,
even the values in the slices say 50%, but the size of the slices looks more
like 60/40 or even 75/25.
Anyone come across anything like this that they'd like to share with me?

- SVCS >> Sub Report pass data to Main ReportHi All
Is it possible to pass data from a sub-report to the main report. I have
several (lots) of tables on a report and would like to have a few of them as
sub-reports but cannot find away to send the results on the sub-report to
another table on the main report. If I could do this, I would reduce the size
of the report massively and make it more manageable.

SBS >> Client Setup Error...
I had a challenge getting this PC onto the network but it's running now.
However, I am receiving this error on the client PC everytime they login. I
don't see anything to remove. Can someone please point me into the correct
direction here.
"Client Setup could not remove a special account created to migrate user
settings"

- SBS >> RRAS Client IP address showing in DNS with SBS server nameA client establishes a PPTP VPN or Dial Up session into the SBS 2003 Server.
The remote clients can connect to LAN resources no problem. The problem is
that when the RRAS Client connects it registers itself in DNS with its DHCP
address with the name of the SBS server. Then LAN access to the server is
unreliable because clients frequently resolve the name to the DHCP address on
the RAS clients instead of the server's LAN IP address.

- Money >> Uninitialized help...Money 2004None of the help links at the right of the money will
work. I just says something about a bad link.
I have WinXP SP1 with all the latest updates. I upgraded
from Money 2001.
Any sugesstions? I tried uninstalling and re-installing
already.

- SBS >> Outlook Contacts and Exchange Addres BookHow can I get everyones Contacts from the local machine profiles to
different (security restricted) address books on the server.
In short, I have 4 salesmen. That are responsible for different
divisions/regions. I am wanting to get the contact lists out of outlook
(local) into a new address book for each of them that the other 3 can not
see.
All of my admin people need to see all the address's.
How can I do it?

- Compact >> Speed up Bulk Insert Dataset records!Hello,
I have an winform compact framework app which returns a dataset from
webservice .
I need to bulkinsert that database into my SQLCE database.
Right now I iterate row by row and insert rows one at a time. To insert
1500 rows it takes me 10minutes.
Which is unaceptable. Can you help me speed it up? I have tried using
Dataset.update() and it does not work.

- Crm >> Contact shipping methodsI am trying to change the dropdown list in contacts of shipping methods,
actually both contacts and accounts. I've done the following but the changes
do not appear in the forms.
Logged on as Administrator: then proceeded to the following area;
Settings
Customization
Customize Entities
Contact
Attributes
Schema Name: Shippingmethodcode
Changed the pick list to methods we use.
Click save and close on attribute shipping method window
click save and close on entity: Contact window
Click on publish on customize entities display side of crm window
waited for changes but they have not appeared.

I am using .NET 2005 two different handhelds:
1) Intermec CN3 Mobile 5.0
2) TekLogix Psion Mobile 6.0
On Intermec i can run app in debug mode with no problem.
On TekLogix when i trying to run app in debug mode display warning message
on the PC "The remote connection to the device has been lost. Please verify
the device connection and restart debugging", at the same time handheld
display message " We are sorry..." on the task bar and "Problem has occurred
with app.
Please tell Microsoft about this problem, at no cost to you"
Is anybody have experience with such issue, How to fix it?

- SVCS >> Dataset Fields in the Report HeaderHi,
I know that now in SSRS 2005 you can no longer reference fields from a
dataset in a page header or footer. In the documentation it says to put the
field data in a textbox in the body of the report then just reference that
textbox value from the header (e.g. =ReportItems!textbox1.Value). I then
make my textbox, that's in the report body, invisible.
This works fine for one page reports but when my report spans multiple pages
the header textbox only displays the value on one of its pages. I figure
it's because the textbox that's in the report body only gets rendered on one
of the pages. So when it's not rendered on the other pages the expression
=ReportItems!textbox1.Value (that's used by the header textbox) returns
nothing.
Is there a way to display a dataset field in a header on every page of the
report.

- SVCS >> textbox keep together problemIn the report desing form, I add a list control. Inside the list control, I
add customer id, name, addresses, etc., these approximately occupy half
page. then I add last field that is a note about the customer. The note is a
text field. The list is group on customer id and page break at end.
I found if the note length more than half page and less than one page, the
note will totally displayed in the second page, this means the first page
for the customer only has half page content (id, name, address, etc.) the
rest half page is blank, then there is a note in te next page. This is not
what I want. I want the note always starts from the first page, if too long,
then continue to next page.
I download a project InvoiceMaker form http://www.gotreportviewer.com/ .
I modified the customer name, address, city textboxes' multilines property
to true, then add 20 lines names, 20 lines of addtresses and 40 lines of
cities. The project got same problem.

- SBS >> Reinstall SBS Monitoring?I have a server that is responding with bad pages so the easiest thing for me
to do is reinstall SBS Monitoring (not worried about losing history). Just
to make sure I do things correctly what steps would you take to uninstall the
existing (including MSDE) and re-install so that it is a 'clean' as possible?

- Compact >> Is it possible to upgrade a WM5 device to CF2.0?I am using a device that has WM5 and CF1.0. My development environment is
VS2005, which defaults to using CF2.0. Is there some way to upgrade the
device to use the CF2.0 or do I have to always build apps in VS2005 that
target the CF1.0?

I having a bit of a problem with the role based security in RS. When I
first installed RS all domain users belonged to the local Administrators
group on the server. I then removed the domain users from the Administrators
group and added myself. As a result one of my colleagues was unable to se
any folders or reports (as expected). I then re-added the domain users group
to the local Administrators group but my colleague still can not see
anything. Am I missing something here?
