workstations to use the server as an internet proxy because you would be
expected to use the Proxy Server built into SBS 2000. However, in most
installations a NAT router is used instead. Unfortunately, SBS2000 will still
occasionally set the workstations to use the server as a proxy, preventing
access to the internet.
Although this can be manually corrected on each workstation by removing the
proxy settings in Internet Explorer, what is the best way to fix this issue
permanently?

I posted this question earlier but I did not explain it well.
I am using DynDNS.org's Custom DNS service for my emails and remote access.
It has been working perfectly for over a year.
I had an MX and Host record setup for my existing domain.
However, I just changed company names, and setup my new SBS server with the
new domain name with the dynamic DNS again.
This too is working great.
What I want to do i setup something that will take all emails going to
anysuer@my-domain-name.com and forward to my new domain.
I would think I have tinker with my old mx record and point it to my new
domain-name. Any suggestions?

(Salespeople)? Looking thru the settings area it appears Quotas have to be
set with the fiscal settings and each user is assigned a single quota only.

Can u explain me, how to do that right?
I made a field in Account entity (thru Deployment Manager) called ddd.Then made a field in Contact called AccountDdd. Their types are both the same.
Then in Contact entity I made a mapping to Account:
accountid <-> accountid
AccountDdd <-> ddd
Then I made a new contact record, and an account record in CRM. Filled a parent account in new contact record.
Then made customizations to Account and Contact entities forms, which show my new fields.
When I change AccountDdd field in contact record, nothing changes in account record. How to make the change?

- SBS >> SBS2003 Backup Setup - I can not exclude the C drive from the backup even though system installed on F:Backup setup
I am trying to remove the C drive from this but I am in the situation where
its in the Included and the Excluded list.
What will happen?
Its only a test system but it has highlighted a potential issue where its
impossible to exclude the C drive from a backup.
Is this right?
Extra info that might help:
System Info:
Test System
Test Hard Drive - 3 Partitions, 2nd is now the Active Bootable partition -
system has called this F drive during SBS2003 install.
SBS2003 OS Installed on F: drive.
Old operating system installed on C: drive, this is not SBS2003.
I'm using the Backup wizard in SBS2003. I have the option of using the SW
included with the Tape Drive - Yosemite TapeWare. Yosemite says its an all
in one tape backup and restore solution. But at present I'm testing and
going to follow the Wizards since they have been good so far.
Tape Info:
HP StorageWorks DAT USB External 12/24GB tape drive.
Yosemite TapeWare software included with the drive.
12/24GB tape included with the tape, also have 15 of these for tape rotation
and backup plan.

changing my password yesterday. I get the error code 0x81000303. I tried
changing my password but it says I have don't answer my secret question
correctly. (that may be true, it's been a long time since I wrote it.) I have
done everything these message boards have suggested regarding this problem,
but nothing works. I have sent messages to both messenger and hotmail
support, but have heard nothing back.I had to get a different account just to
post this message as I could not sign in to net passport. There must be
something that can be done--Is there a phone number for tech support--even if
I have to pay???

the OS drive (drive c:) which is running low on space. I want to relocate the

- SVCS >> Monthly SubscriptionsLooking for assistance out of a difficult spot. I have several subscriptions
that need to run on the last day of each month. However, Reporting Services
has a problem if I set the schedule to run on the 30th or 31st of each month.
Has anyone figured out how to do this? Currently, I must manually reset the
schedule on each subscription at the beginning of each month to run on the
last day. I must be overlooking somthing obvious as I can't imagine
Reporting Services would have such an oversight. Can anyone help?

I, for one, have built a highly dynamic reporting system that relies heavily on the use visibility for showing/hiding subreports. My users require export to excel.
The question to Microsoft is: Can you fix this issue that was introduced in SP1? Please provide us with an SP1a update that will allow elements to be hidden & thus NOT show up in the excel export...just as it works in the HTML & PDF renderings.

America) into Money 2006. BOA required me to have a passport account, which
I entered during the setup process without really thinking about it until the
process was complete and I was completely happy with the way Money interacts
with my bank. So then I started thinking about why did they need my passport
account, and after reading some of the posts in the forum, discovered it had
something to do with their Yodlee service (which is needed, for some reason,
to communicate with Bank of America).
Further research now shows that ALL OF MY TRANSACTIONS are uploaded to MSN's
MoneyCentral site and viewable on the web....which I DO NOT WANT! The
service is synching with my .mny file and I am unable to figure out how to
make this stop. TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> ACCESS YOUR MONEY DATA ON THE WEB is a
dead end. Is there any way to stop this? I can't believe Microsoft "tricks"
us into thie "feature". I can't believe anyone would actually want
this...someone please tell me there's a way to keep the ability to download
transactions without having my personal information uploaded to a Microsoft
website!!!!

the control panel. Is it possible that there is no video card installed? I
watch a lot of video on the screen, but that's maybe possible without a
video card?

I also have experienced this problem. I am running version 6.1 of msn
messenger on Windows XP. My video card is an ATI All-in-Wonder
Pro128.
I can send webcam fine to other users but I cannot view their webcams.
I simply get a black screen and they tell me that their signal
freezes when this happens. They have also successfully sent their
webcam to other users so I'm guessing it's something on my end.
I have downloaded the latest direct x (i believe 9.02) and also the
latest software for the Logitech Pro 4000.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

We have migrated from W2k to SBS 2003 Premium with ISA.
We have an Epson AcuLaser C900 printer, which was shared on the W2k
box fine.
I have checked the Epson site for updated drivers and spoke to Tech
support who said that there had been no reported issues with the
printer and Windows 2003.
However, before I try and install the driver and share the printer has
anyone installed this on SBS 2003 with ISA installed?
I know what will happen if I do try it, printer drivers what they are,
the SBS box will break and business will stop.
Any ideas anyone, thanks for any advice.

first i use "//" and i use IE 6, my script work properly. But yesterday, my
company just rolled out IE 7, then i need to update my script by adding more
funtions, after i try to run the script , it did not work. i try to debug.
Finally the last chance is i change comment from "//" to "/* */", the result
is my script work properly again.
So from this,anyone had same experiences ? or any suggestion what is
happening with comments style i have to use.

- SBS >> Mailbox Size as reported in Server Usage ReportI noticed that the Mailbox Size portion of my most recent Server Usage
Report shows the Company Total ending size to be 9,755.9MB. However, the
combined size of my .edb and .stm files for both priv1 and pub1 totals 11.9
GB, as seen via Windows Explorer. If I select only the priv1 .edb and .stm
files, it's still 11.8 GB, so my public store can't account for that big of
a difference.
My question is, could this difference be caused by the items that users have
deleted from their Deleted Items, but that are still kept within the
database according to the retention time for deleted items? If not, then
what is going on? Does anyone know exactly what IS, and what is NOT,
included in the display of mailbox sizes in the Server Usage Report on SBS
2003?

This is intended for developers like me who would like to use the date in a
file name that is delivered through a subscription. Since nobody gave me a
clear direction of how to accomplish this, and the 2 reporting services
books my company purchased doesn't even touch on this, AND an example is
nowhere to be found in the help files, I had to figure this one out myself.
Well, without further adue, this is how you use the date in a filename:
In Report Manager:
1.) Create a data driven subscription for your report.
2.) For the "method of delivery" dropdown, choose : "Report Server File
Share"
3.) Pick your datasource.
4.) For the SQL query statement, paste the statement below into the text
area box and fill in the information between the brackets <>, specific to
your application:
SELECT STR(DATEPART(DAY, GETDATE())) + '_' + DATENAME(MONTH, GETDATE()) +
'_' + LTRIM(STR(DATEPART(YEAR, GETDATE()))) As FileNameWithDate FROM
<Your_Table_Name>
This statement will return: "5_October_2004" as the value for the new column
alias we named : "FileNameWithDate".
*** If you have a field in your database that contains the filename that you
would like to use and you would like to append the date onto that, then use
the following statement (assuming the field in the database is called
"Filename"):
SELECT Filename + '_' + STR(DATEPART(DAY, GETDATE())) + '_' +
DATENAME(MONTH, GETDATE()) + '_' + LTRIM(STR(DATEPART(YEAR, GETDATE()))) As
FileNameWithDate FROM <Your_Table_Name>
This statement will return: "<filename>_5_October_2004" as the value for the
new column alias we named : "FileNameWithDate".
5.) Set your timeout and click validate, correct any errors listed and move
onto the next screen.
6.) Under the field "File name:", select "Get the value from the database:"
radio button and select the new field we created: "FileNameWithDate" from
the dropdown - this will bind the name of the file to the value we retrieve
in the new field FileNameWithDate in the SQL statement.
7.) The remaining settings and steps are up to you to configure how you'd
like it delivered. Set those to your liking, run the subscription and at the
end you should have a file named with parts of the current date. Good luck!

I'm choosing for Exchange delivery and Bsmtp.
I have to configuration choices. Deliver directly to my server and
Email is held at my ISP until my server sends a signal. Both options
are supported by my provider.
Can somebody explain what to choose and why?

- SBS >> OMA AccessI'm running Exchange 2003 under SBS 2003. We have access to OWA from
outside, but I noticed if I try to access OMA that I get an error stating
that my IP address has been rejected by the server. So, I went into ISS and
saw that the IP restrictions for OMA were set to deny access to all IP
addresses except for the SBS server's IP address. OWA isn't set up like
this, and I'd like to know if there is a reason I shouldn't grant access to
all IP addresses so that OMA can be used?

I always worked offline in 01 and that was "ok"
But my Passport/Hotmail account expired.
Money05 won't let me access my old data file without entering account
info for an account that is expired.
What to do? Any help?
