- Crm >> Quick Campaign - TemplatesI've been tring to work out (along with many others from the sales &
marketing department) how to attatch a template to a quick campaign. It would
appear to be a fundamental error in the design if this is not possible as
everyone at our company would use quick campaigns in this way.

- SBS >> ISA + Quicktime, it just is not working.I seem to have trouble getting QuickTime to stream. I've setup QuickTime to
both use a proxy, and not use a proxy. Neither work. I uninstalled
QuickTime, and then reinstalled QuickTime (with my firewall proxy software
installed on the client), and now QuickTime can't even access the internet.
Am I missing something?
I've used this reference to try and get QuickTime to work .. to no avail ..

- Messanger >> Can't connect with messenger 7.0It seems that a lot of people are having problem with messenger 7.0
The program works fine at home, where there is no firewall or anything.
At work, messenger 6.2 used to work fine. With 7.0, I can't connect. It
doesn't freeze, but it just does not connect.
The "advice" here to check certain options for internet connection option
does not help.

- SVCS >> Show Details button does not workHi,
I have a very funny problem. I am accessing the report manager from Remote
desktop, but i am not able to click on Show Details button in report
manager's toolbar. In fact, i am not able to click any button in the toolbar.
I can click on the hyperlinks like i can click on any report and run it.
Is there any authentication issue with this? Please help. This is urgent.

- Money >> Strange error message from FidelityWhen I try to update my account with Fidelity Investment services tonight
(yes the netbenifits side as all other accounts are working) I get the error
message "Invalid Date Range". I turned on the registry setting to save the
transaction files and found:
From first RQ file

From the first RS file

From the second RQ file

I checked the machine time and found it was approximately 7:44 pm on March
5th with day light savings time enabled. I also have set the Eastern time
zone.
I am running Money Plus Delux. I have not seen this before.
Any ideas?
I can send the files as they are small if that would help.

- SBS >> Small Business Dial-up Connection - want to remove - SBS2003Hi,
After a move of offices, we only had a dial-up connection for a short while.
I started to set up the "Small Business Dial-up Connection" and started up
the wizard before I realized that I did not want a "Small Business Dial-up
Connection". We now have our broadband back and we have no need at all for
the dial-up. However I am getting repeated 21026 and 21080 events in the
system log for Remote Access. I can not find a way of getting rid of the
"Small Business Dial-up Connection" and getting back to the status quo
before I tried to set-up the dial-up.

- Crm >> Help - Updated CRM 3.0 refuses to install on SBS R2CRM 3.0 refuses to install on my SBS 2003 R2 premium server.
I was encountering the known issues with CRM 3 on SBS R2 using the CDs that
came in the Action Pack subscription so I downloaded the updated CRM CDs from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7d418781-69ad-422d-92fa-87fdb2538e2c&DisplayLang=en
This copy gave me a different set of problems.
The default setup mode pops up a couple errors. The first one is the lack
of full text search so I installed that and ran the setup again. The next
error was:
"The edition 'Workgroup Edition' of the specified SQL Server is not
supported by this SQL Server Reporting Services installation. Supported
editions are Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition."
I installed reporting services for SQL 2k5 express, installed SQL 2k5 SP1,
and then configured reporting services. (had to change the reportserver
virtual directory to a new app pool though)
Now both standard and custom installation modes give me this error:
Failed to locate the Web Application configuration file. Verify the file
specified in registry value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft
SQL Server\80\Reporting Services[WAConfigFilePath]
This key is not in my registry. I suspect it may be because Iâ??m using SQL
express rather than full SQL.
This SBS r2 premium server is fully updated with latest windows updates,
service packs and such.
How exactly do I install CRM 3.0 (original, or updated CD) on SBS R2 premium?
Iâ??ve already read the CRM 3.0 on SBS r2 and CRM 3.0 implementation guides on
the MS site but they didnâ??t help.
If I have to upgrade to full SQL 2005 then how do I do this?

- Crm >> Publishing CRM 3.0 via gPO on Vista with UAC enabledDear all,
I am experiencing problems when publishing the CRM 3.0 client to a non-admin
user on a Vista machine with UAC enabled. It seems to be when publishing the
application via gPO to the add\remove program list the first steps of the
installation are no problem. But after the environment diagnostics wizard the
installations stops with the following errors:
No Outlook Profile present
Not a domain user
Not a CRM user
After investigation we discovered that the installation starts under the
local system account. This is strange behavior because the logged on
non-admin user is executing the installation. Publishing the client on a
Windows XP machine is not a problem, the installation runs fine without any
problems. Using the same installation sequence on a Vista machine with UAC
enabled is not possible. Anybody any ideas.
Microsoft Support???? How can I bypass the UAC on a Vista based machine in
order to install CRM 3.0 with elevated privileges and without local admin
rights? Thanks in advance!

- SVCS >> Link Report Print AlignmentHi,
I have around ten link reports all based on one "master" report. The
master report prints correctly. The link reports have alignment
problems. Everything seems to be moved over a half inch which makes
the report print on two pages horizontally. I'm using the same
printer for both prints. This also happens on different printers. Is
this a bug? Can I control link report margins? Any suggestions would
be great.

Messanger >> Audio connection
Since upgrading to Messenger 6.0 my friend and I are no
longer able to connect with audio microphones , we can
use webcam connection , file transfer , but not audio.
neither of us is using ICS or NAT. We have tried it with
XPs firewall enabled and disabled .
She is using Windows 98SE and I am on XP. I have heard
of a number of people that have lost their ability to
communicate with Audio using Messenger 6.0 with windows
98.

- SVCS >> ReportService Web Service Date Parameter FormatHi all,
In my web service call, I pass the date value to the reporting services in
the format of yyyy-MM-dd. But the reporting service interpret the date value
in a strange way. When I select 9 Mar 2007, It convert the date to 3 Sep
2007. However, when I select 13 Mar 2007, It remain as 13 Mar 2007 !!!
The date format is the same when I use visual studio to launch the web
application. When I deploy it to IIS, I have encountered the above problem.
I have changed the web server locale to en-US and my report server is also
en-US. This makes no difference.
Could someone help? Thx.

Sorry if I bring up again a problem that perhaps has already been
discussed...
I don't really understand how to pass strings as parameters between a
native C++ dll and a managed C# application.
The C++ code looks like this:
extern "C" void __declspec(dllexport) __stdcall

and the C# code:

and I try to use it like this:

The C# app should send a message to the C++ dll but the problem is
that I only get the first letter of the message... The same happens if
I use char[] instead of byte[]... And I understand that .NET CF does
not support [MarshalAs...]
Any suggestions? I really would appreciate any help or advice you
could give me...

Why can't I delete a name from people who have added me to thier list of
contacts?
When someone contacts you from Members directory, my e mail addy is not
given out so how do I reply to that person without revealing my e mail addy?

- SBS >> FTP....Dare I say it... yes we do need to use it.
FTP was working fine, server then moved to new premises with new Fixed IP.
What we have noticed is only administrators or users of administrators group
can access ftp. Standard users just cannot access FTP. Even setting up new
test users cannot access FTP site. Add them to administrator group and it
works. Take them out of administrator group and keep getting username /
password not correct.
Checked security settings in IIS and folders... nothing works.
Anyone got some ideas.

- SBS >> How to change terminal server mode to Application Mode ?Windoes 2003 SBS Standard Edition does not allow me to
change its terminal services mode from "Remote Desktop
for Adminidstration" to "Application Mode".
I tried to do it through Add/Remove Programs as defined
but when doing it this way it does not give you option to
chose between this modes. Add/remove Programs just
normally finishes.
Is there a problem with the server or am I doing
something wrong? I question if Windows 2003 SBS support
terminal services in Application Mode. This was the main
reason why my company purchased this product. It will be
a big problem if I find out that SBS terminal service
does not support Application Mode.
Please help me ASAP. Thank you.

- Crm >> Checking Version/Build of CRM clientThe current full version build of the V3C indicates its 3.5300.0.1361. When
you check the version in the Outlook client, it displays the first few
sections but leaves off the 1361. I'm look for a way to verify if the V3C has
in fact been applied to an Outlook client.

when used select a new product in Product lookup fields? So user does not
have to select the Unit of the selected product every time even there is
only one unit related with the product???
Do I need use querybyattribute / querybyexpress to retrieve the Unit from

- Money >> cannon open money without network reinstalli installed money 2004 from a network resource that i now no longer have
access to. the program has worked fine for months, however now when i open
money for some unknown reason it immediately and automatically tries to
reinstall (or reconfigure?) money from the network resource i originally
installed from. because i do not have access to this network resource, i
cannot open money at all.
why would it try to reinstall after months of use? i've had no other
problems with the computer. what can i do?

- Crm >> Auto Populate a date fieldHi there
I would to know if it is possible to auto populate date field. For
example...our client would like to be able to see when their customer last
ordered their products. They would like this field to appear when they open
their customers' record.
At the moment on the CRM application there is a field that says "Last Date
Included in Campaign" This is the type of field I would want to include.
Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

Reporting Services on another. We try to implement reporting on internet, but
for some reason charts in reports not displayed untill cookies from Reporting
Services server (not web server) on client side are not enabled.
