- Money >> Unable to merge duplicate accountsIs there a way to merge duplicate accounts that are both enabled for
online updates? I have logins at a broker - one for me and another for
my wife. We each have our own retirement accounts but we share a
taxable account. To get automatic updates from the broker requires
that I import all accounts associate with the login. For me that is my
retirement account and the taxable account and for my wife it is a
different retirement account and the same taxable account. Both logins
are providing online updates to the same taxable account but I can't
mark them as duplicate because they are both receiving online updates.
Microsoft Money doesn't provide the ability to disable online updates
for just one account. It only allows you to disable online updates for
the whole login. What should I do? For the moment I've just marked the
duplicate as "closed".

- SBS >> Syncing with old server at logon/logoffBG:
Before I got in here the IT had named the SBS admin. At one point the
SBS got reinstalled and is now named MyCompanyAdmin. User's documents
are stored ont he server and work fine but at logon & logoff the
computers try to sync with 'admin' in addition to the SBS we have now.
Users get an error message of course, since the 'admin' server doesnt
exist.
I have tried configuring their sync tool not to syn with admin. but
then users get bubble messages about offline files. I just want to get
rid of these error messages.

- Crm >> Workflow - Multiple Conditions QuestionHi
I am creating a basic workflow that, on creation, assigns accounts to a
sales territory based upon the first couple of characters in the post code.
For instance, if the post code begins with CH, CV, CW etc they should be
assigned to the Central territory.
My question is if I can add multiple values into the condition or do I need
to add a seperate condition for each entry (I have over 200 so I hope I can
do the former!). I have tried to seperate the possible values using comma's
and semi-colons in the condition but it seems that the workflow see's these
as part of the value.
Any help would be appreciated.

- SBS >> Do I need ISA 2000 installed prior to SBS SP12 Scenarios
Scenario 1
I have a client with only one nic but they have SBS 2003 Premium (They use
Sharepoint in SQL 2000). ISA 2000 is not installed at all
I intend to insert another Nic and then install ISA, just wondering should I
install isa 2000 now with new nic, or should I wait until I have patched the
current installation, and then proceed to add new nic and load ISA 2004
straight from the SBS SP1 CD's (if that is possible, assuming it does not
have to have ISA 2000 pre-installed?)
Scenario 2
I have a client with ISA 2000 installed but only using as a Proxy cached
server at this stage. It has one nic only.
Again I would like to install another nic, and then setup appropriate
gateway firewall using ISA. Should I do this prior to ISA 2004 update, or
wait. I assume if I install the ISA 2004 update on server now, it will just
install ISA 2004 in same functionality as current ISA 2000. Then I insert
new nic, and re-run CEICW with the two nic option.
Comments appreciated

SBS >> Error when adding users
When I run the Add Users wizard, I get the following error message, which
makes no sense to me. Can someone tell me what's happening?
---------------------------
Add User Wizard
---------------------------
User account: <user name>
The wizard could not successfully configure this user account. The following
could not be completed:
- A home folder could not be created for this user.
- Quota information could not be set.
Do you want to keep this user account?
If you chose to create a computer account for this user, it will still be
created.

SBS >> Error when adding users
Hi Paul,
Taken in combination with your other posts/issues, you need some serious
help with this. As a volunteer, you may or may not want to dedicate the time
that it's going to take to learn how to set up SBS. If you want to learn, no
problem, you're in the right place. But if your expectation is to take the
current install forward to thte point that it works, then that might be
expecting too much. It could be a fairly long road, and there's no guarantee
you'll get to the end without starting over, perhaps more than once. If you
can't see yourself taking a step back and starting over a few times until
things come together, then don't be shy in asking for a different kind of
help.

- Crm >> Microsoft CRM inbound adaptorOur company has Dynamics 9.0 and CRM 3.0. I'm trying to Submit Order to
Dynamics. Currently, I appear able to push a new customer into Dynamics
(although the customer that I pushed into the system was an existing
customer, but CRM still created a new customer in Dynamics). However, no new
order is being stup in Dynamics even though I have it setup in CRM. When I
lookup Status under Microsoft CRM Connector for Microsoft Dynamics, it shows
a red box titled "Microsoft CRM Inbound Adaptor".
The Status is "Failed".
The problem is Microsoft CRM adapter returned an error while processing the
message:Server Error :<detail><error><code>80045f05
</code><details></details></error></detail>
"Microsoft Great Plains Sales OrderMicrosoft Great Plains Sales

The recommended solutions is an error occurred when the Microsoft CRM
adapter processed the message. Verify that the Microsoft CRM inbound adapter
is working.
How do I verify that the Microsoft CRM Inbound Adaptor is working.

- Money >> Dear MS Money 2006 Product Team...You might have made a slight error in judgment.
I had been a long time Quicken user up until I purchased my first Pocket PC
in 2001 which included a free pocket version of Microsoft Money. Intuit
couldn't sync to the PPC so I made the big switch to Money.
Last November, I bought a Windows Mobile 5 device. My entire life is
managed by this wonderful piece of technology. Unfortunately, Money 2001
won't sync with the updated versions of Microsoft Money for the PPC so I ran
out and purchased Money Deluxe 2006. Installed it on my laptop, pulled down
the latest PPC version and install it to the WM5 device. Time to sync...
Connect the PDA to my laptop, watch Active Sync fire up and let the
synchronization start. Twenty minutes later we're still updating. 30
minutes. 90 minutes. Pretty sure this isn't right.
So I jump out here to this very newsgroup to discover that MS Money 2006
isn't going to sync with MS Money 2006 for the pocket pc on a WM5 device.
Huh? Well MS Money 2006 was released before WM5 came out. Alright, that
makes sense, database format is different or something. Its been 10 months
since WM5 came out so I'll just go find the update for Money on WM5 and life
will be good.
Problem. There is no update and there isn't going to be one. Money 2006
Deluxe only cost me $20 (which I attempted to get back btw,but bought it
retail and its open so my loss), but this just isn't right. Already knowing
the answer to my question, I thought I'd give tech support a call. Very nice
gentleman confirmed everything I already knew. WM5 device isn't going to
sync with the Microsoft Money application until the 2007 version is
released.... Almost. Money 2007 is in beta with a predetermined user base
(i.e. you can't opt in... even if you hold a Microsoft MSDN Universal
subscription such as I do). Even if you could, however, you STILL couldn't
sync with your WM5 device because according to the tech I spoke with, the WM5
pocket version won't be available until probably 3 or more months after Money
2007 reaches RTM status which in itself is probably another 3 or 4 months.
So... if you are content to wait for 6, 7, 8 months (lets round up to an
even year) to manage something as trivial as your finances on a WM5 device
that manages the rest of your life, then the MS Money Product team made the
right decision for you. I on the other hand can't wait that long.
Fortunately for me, Money's primary competitor (it's that other product that
starts with a "Q") has a WM5 product that syncs with their desktop version.
What were they thinking?
While I'm out $20 and wasn't able to get any satisfaction from the fine
folks at Microsoft, I'm only hoping that this post can help someone else from
foolishly spending their hard earned dollars on a product that won't work on
one of the millions of Microsoft WM5 devices being sold in the world today.
What were you guys thinking?

- SBS >> Question On Staric IP Verus Dynamic IPHi,
Have a question on Static and Dynamic IP's. on a MS 03 Sever Which is right
now set up under a Workgroup Name.
Would like to know if our MS 2003 Server can be utilized (and logged into
from client's on a small network) as a Domain Server without assigning a
static IP.
Our cable modem (IPS) does not assign Static IP's addresses. We already
have an ISP for ourweb hosting, emails and internet connectivity, but we
would like to Log into the Server as Client Users within our intranet... Can
this be done without assigning a static IP?
It seems when we try to assign the Our Server as a Domain, the wizard asks
for a SIP number which we can not provide!
2:) Also can this same server (without a Static IP,) be accessed with Remote
Desktop on a WAN?
Look Forward To Your Responses and Many Thanks To All In Advance!!!
