SQL Server >> SQL2000 RS - Configuration change Question

A few weeks ago I changed the username for RS, and just realized that the
Report Subscriptions have not been running. I'm not sure that this has
anything to do with RS, but I found this in the server event log;
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Schedule and Delivery Processor
Event Category: Activation
Event ID: 120
Date: 1/16/2007
Time: 4:03:09 PM
Description:
Failed to decrypt symmetric key. Most likely cause is the service username
has changed.

Can someone tell me what I need to do or where I can find the best
documentation for SQL2000 RS to get Scheduling service running again??

SQL Server >> SQL2000 RS - Configuration change Question Hi
I was thru the same problem, so here is what I did to get ReportingService
running again:

1. Change the service account back in Services to one with administrator
privileges
2. Start Reporting Services Configuration, select the instace and connect to
it
3. Go to Windows Srvice Identity on left menu and then specify the service
account you want to use to start Reporting Services. You will need to
associate that account to one with administrative priveges inside SQL Server
instance

You can also change the Execution account to the new service account at the
Reporing Service Configuration.
That worked for me, now my database (process not described here but the
service account change should be done at SQL Server Configuration Manager)
and my reportig service instance runs under a domain account with limited
privileges.
Hope this helps

Regards
Alex
