In Short:
1) Server (NT4) with Raid Drive failed to boot after trying to add HDD to
Raid (Disk was faulty)
2) Removed faulty disk and restored RAID, but could not boot
3) Loaded new OS (WIN2K) to be able to boot
4) Booted, but could not find previous data
5) Used RESTORER 2000 Software to recover MS SQL 6.5 Database devices (.Dat
16GB) and Log file (.Dat 4GB) .
6) Have attempted several SQL teqhniques to reinitialise/recreate a database
into a new SQL Server setup (new Master)
7) At wits end as no success and no backups
SQL Server >> SQL 6.5 gone and lost forever?
Hi Lee.
Have you tried DISK REINIT & DISK REFIT? These are documented in SQL 6.5's
Books Online & can be used to "attach" a 6.5 device to a server in scenarios
such as yours.
