I am now evaluating the beta version of SQL Server reporting service
and got a question when i am trying to design a report.
I would like to ask if there are some methods to pass recordset or datatable
from .Net component to report designer
as the basic data source in report designer are just SQL statement or store
procedure.
In Crystal report, it provides a way to pass recordset through Active Data
Definition.
Does it have a method to pass recordset to report designer in reporting
service ?
SQL Server >> SQL Server Reporting Services
There should be, but I don't believe there's a way to do
it within a reporting services project. Check the
Reporting Services BOL under Reporting Services
Programing/Extending reporting services. Of course,
there is a ton of documentation that isn't there, but
that should put you on the right track. Personally I
haven't explored this yet.
Hope that helps a little.

Didn't you get access information for the beta newsgroups for reporting
services with the beta? I would recommend to ask questions there, since
this is where the knowledge is.
One Reporting Services is releaed, I would expect a newsgroup for it
to appear.
