SQL Server without log cache validation logic?

SQL Server177
Does anyone know how to run SQL Server without the log cache validation logic? Microsoft mentions it in the following knowledge base article

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;83462

(look under Symptoms

Is this referring to Torn page detection

Re:SQL Server without log cache validation logic?

Sundaresh,

The KB article had information in it which shouldn't be there. It has been corrected.

(No, that term did not refer to torn pages...)
