SQL Server >> Transaction Log too bloody big!

Hey everyone, how do I make the overall size of my Transaction log smaller,
when I look in Enterprise Manager, in the Properties window for my database,
im looking on the General tab. It says,

Size: 2651.75 MB
Space Available: 2257.18 MB

My database is only 420 MB, what is all this extra space?

In the Transaction Log tab it is set to autogrow, and right now it's at 2233
MB.
How do I make my Transaction log smaller, as it does not need to be soo
large does it?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

P.S im using SQL2000

SQL Server274

You can use DBCC SHRINKFILE to shrink the log file. To prevent it from =
having to grow too much, back it up more frequently than you currently =
do now.

SQL Server >> Transaction Log too bloody big! If you do not require a tran log you might use simple recovery mode.
