SQL Server >> mcdba certification books

Hi,

Does anyone know a really great book for the certification of mcdba? I've
got the mocs, but those are not enough according to my mentor.

I 've looked for the administrator's companion book for sql server 2000 but
it's not available anywhere in my country.

Can anyone help me out.

SQL Server >> mcdba certification books Hi Jason

The mcdba exam covers several areas, therefore database administration is
only one. You will need several books to cover all areas to the right levels
needed to pass the exam.

You don't say which country you are in or why the administrators companion
is not available. Typing in MCDBA into the search option of amazon should
give you a large list of books/cbt material etc.

You may also want to look at the virtual labs there are a few on
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/traincert/virtuallab/sql.mspx for SQL 2000
and some for SQL 2005 on msdn.

Hi John,

I'm from The Netherlands. Currently i'm doing the 2072 course, but the
mocs doesn't provide all details. During the measure-up of the 228 exam,
most of the questions refers to the administrators companion book. I've
looked at Amazone.com, but the prices are too high for shipping one book
. Do you know an altenative book for course 2072?

SQL Server >> mcdba certification books Hi

For the complete MCDBA course you may need more than one book, which may
make shipping less of an overall problem.
Check out http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcdba/requirements.asp for
the exams you need to take.

You may want to check books listed on
http://www.microsoft.com/mspress/books/6799.asp

The pocket adminstators consultant for SQL Server 2000 will be a useful
general guide and should also cover the exam syllabus.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0735611297/qid=1137588655/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-9092285-1957414

I believe delivery would be 4 GBP for the Netherlands at
http://www.compman.co.uk/scripts/search.asp?refined=cat&rcat=B+BU&ss=true&searchterms=MCDBA&searchtype=all
