SQL Server Developer >> backup database
Hi, Below is my script and when I run it I get following
error. What is causing this error?
Thanks for your help.
BACKUP DATABASE IntelSource TO
DISK = 'C:\SQL\BACKUP\DIFF_IntelSource.BAK'
WITH DIFFERENTIAL
GO
Error Message:
Server: Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 1
Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'DATABASE'.

SQL Server Developer >> backup database
That looks like a valid syntax. Perhaps, 'backup database' is not the first
statement in the batch.

SQL Server Developer >> backup database
... Or perhaps the database from where the command is executed is in 60 or 65 compatibility mode?
(Assuming BACKUP DATABASE is affected by compatibility mode...)
