SQL Server >> What versions am I running

I am running SQL Server 2000 on a system that is also running Backup Exec
tape backup software. Backup Exec is running it's own instantiation of SQL
server. Our security people tell me that I have a security hole on the
system which can be fixed by the latest service pack. I have run the SP on
my SQL 2000 server but when I try to pick the Backup Exec version it will
not install because it is not version 2000.

Is the a command I can run that will get me all of the information about
servers (with versions) that are running on the system?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

SQL Server >> What versions am I running My understanding of your question is: how does one identify what
version of SQL Server is being used by a given instance of SQL Server.

Query Analyzer while connected to that instance of SQL Server. More
info can be found at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q321185

Hope this helps.

SQL Server >> What versions am I running The first line is inquiry would be to contact the makers of BackupExec and
ask for their assistance to maintain their product. It is possible that
applying a service pack could cause the product to stop functioning
properly.
