SQL Server Developer >> Can not properly debug a stored proc

Hello Group,
i have upgraded my machine to XP service pack 2. After that, i can not debug
a stored proc properly. The seems to be getting debugged but the cursor of
execution runs anywhere and not on the code lines, i.e. it even runs in the
commented code and blank lines. So i can not debug my code properly and can
not know what is happening. I have seen some posts regarding the problem in
dubugging after the XP upgrade. Has anyone faced a problem like what i am
facing. Does anybody know any fix for this??

thanks in advance
Atul

But i m not debugging the stored proc thro' VS.NET. I m trying to debug it
from the SQL Query Analyzer itself. Will this hotfix solve my problem?

Thanks

SQL Server Developer >> Can not properly debug a stored proc Since the issue is with the T-SQL de****, some things that might be going
on:
* After applying SP2 you may no longer have the appropriate DCOM
permissions. Please see SQL Books Online topic: "Troubleshooting the
Transact-SQL De****" to ensure these are appropriately set.

* It could be a firewall issue - you can try disabling the firewall
temporarily (as a troubleshooting step) to see if that is the case.

* the hotfix 839280 - I mentioned previously may still apply.

* Are you debugging locally or remotely? If remotely try to debug locally
to see if that works.

* Is the sql startup account a local admin - if not try making a local
admin and see if that resolves the issue.

* You can try reapplying SQL SP3 to see if that helps.
