MS Word Errors >> document corrupt

Have a corrupt file on a cd-rw disk -- word cannot open. Are there any
utilities that can try to pick yp as much as possible from the CD? Thanks.

MS Word Errors >> document corrupt From File > Open > Files of type: (pop down menu), select Recover Text from
Any File, navigate to where the corrupted document is located.

MS Word Errors >> document corrupt Word will not open any file directly from a CD (even a CD-RW) because it
cannot create the needed temp files on this disk. Copy the file to your HD
and open from there.

MS Word Errors >> document corrupt Suzanne, I don't understand, I have opened Word files other Office files
from a CD-ROM, and they open ok, but as "Read Only"? I understand to edit
the file, it must be saved to hard disk. But in terms of opening from a CD
I have not encountered any problems.

MS Word Errors >> document corrupt If the file will open only as Read Only, I wonder if you could use the
"Recover Text from Any File" setting.
