Disappearing hard drive

I have an HP machine in which I installed 2 internal hard drives for

increased storage capacity. They have both been installed and working well

for many months. Today, one of the drives has become invisible in the "Disk

Management" window as well as on my network and in "My Computer". However, in

the "Device Manager" window that hard drive is showing and the properties

dialog window claims that the device is working properly. Also, during a

system boot, the drive is recognized and the system boots properly.

Can anyone give me some ideas on what may be going on here? Was there a

Windows update that took place between 4/14 - 4/15 that may have affected

something like this?
