- Windows XP Network >> P2P networkingI continue to get the message "can't start server" from
my P2P network and it keeps popping up. It seems to work
fine in my brother's and my mom's window accounts, but
just not in mine, i tried creating a new account and it
has the same problem, any suggestions?

- Windows XP Hardware >> MONITOR PROBLEMI have a Packard Bell Monitor. I can use it for about an hour and then the
screen starts to revolve. It will stop for a short while if I turn it off.
The longer I leave it off the longer I can use it. I would greatly appreciate
any help.

- Windows XP Support >> Control Panel error messageWhen I open Control Panel I get the following message:
An error occurred while Windows was working with the Control Panel file:
C/windows/system32/netsetup.cpl
Do You want to continue? I click yes and it works ok but the message is
annoying.
My operating system is Windows XP Service Pack 2. My Browser is internet
Explorer 7.0.5730.11
Any suggestions?

- Windows XP >> backup in XPAloha all, I'm just trying to figure out how to back up
my system in WinXP. My limitations: I have a factory
installed XP OS, thus no disks/CD's available. Home
Edition, not Professional. Found Kelly Theriot's hints
page through the Microsoft site, but of course, without
software in hand, I'm stuck. Any advice?

- Windows XP >> Locating files/folders in XP ProI am trying to locate a folder by going to My Computer.
I can't find the folder going through this channel but
the folder is listed when I open up another software
program.
i.e. c:/documents and settings/username/application
data/yahoo messenger/username/receive
Anyone know how I can locate this folder without going
through this image manager?

some files with the following name:
Folder: "Crypto"
sub folder "RSA"
Should I delete them or do they serve a purpose.

I've spent much time but couldn't reach what I want to

I get the packets to a socket which I create and then I
want to set DSCP in the header before forwarding them. I
could only set a few codes which correspond to the
available Service Types, but I want to be able to set any
other
value. Plz if u know how to make it, send me tips/code
snippets/samples ..etc

- Windows XP >> Device managerI have two entries under Imaging devices in Device
Manager, both which read Color Flatbed scanner.
I have removed my scanner and I have disabled these
devices, but when I try to delete then I get a message
that says. " Failed to uninstall device.The device may be
required to boot up the computer.
Can anyone explain why this can be too me, or let me know
how to uninstall them.

- Windows XP Hardware >> Partitioning ProblemI am running XP SP2 on one of my machines at work. When I attempt to use
Disk Management to create a second partition of the C-drive (the drive is
more than half empty), tt indicates that the entire drive is taken up by the
original partition, and I get no option to make a second partition. I am
logged on as Administrator.
Do you have any idea what is blocking my attempt to make a second partition?

- Windows XP >> setting cursorI am having problems with the cursor; whenever it is
pointing at something for more than just a few seconds it
automatically selects it or it highlights text when I am
only moving the cursor and don't want to highlight. Can
anyone help me and tell me how to change these settings.

- Windows XP Support >> Printer only shows up under admin loginI have a public XP PC and the installed network printer shows up under
Admin login, but is not available for the User (public) login. It used
to be, but a user pointed out that it's gone. The add print wizard
can't find it either. I don't understand, I thought if the admin added
it, it should show up under the user login. This is the way I set it up
in the past and on several other machines. Is there a hidden check box
somewhere that hides or uninstalls the printer from one login?

Ctrl - Alt - Delete opens the Security Manager as
expected but when "Task Manager" button selected a "Local
Area Connection" window opens instead of the "Task
Manager". How do you fix Windows XP to open the "Task
Manager"..??

Click on the tabs at the top. If you do not see any tabs, double click
somewhere in the graph area to restore the tabs.

Larry,
Just double-click the outer frame and all tabs will be back. Alternately,
download the reg patch and run it.

When I try do access the computer I get an error "\\PC12 is not accessible.

private (using XP Home). Had some problems with my PC and had to format the
internal hard drive and re-install windows. Problem is that windows will
now not allow me to open my protected folder on the external hard drive.

if I mouse-over say a menu item for instance, it will select that item
without me actually clicking on it. I am tired, it is probably something
simple, I have looked at the Mouse option in Control Panel, but cannot figure
out where to disable these settings. I just want a normal, double-click, and
select what you click on mouse.

- Windows XP >> Internet troublesI have winxphome. I don't know if you've ever heard of
this before, but for some reason, my computer will not
access certain sites like Classmates.com. I called a
friend and asked him to go to the site and it worked fine
for him. It's really frustrating! He said it may be a
program installed on my computer that is messing it up.
Any ideas? I would be forever greatful!

- Windows XP Support >> out of memoryI have my xp on autom updates......I do know I got a couple the other
day and now one of my regular programs, zooms right up to 1 Mil. memory
usage and then back down. Everything freezes...my commit charge max'es
out, and .if I wait about three min., it says out of memory and then
opens correctly. Prog works just fine after that.
This is the only prog I have problems with now.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled about four times, with 5 reg cleaners
in the middle of each process.
