Windows XP Network >> XP home networking I've got a small office with a peer to peer network. I've been using one
computer as a psuedoserver to store common data. We did not have any
problems until we added a few more computers to the network. Now if more
then five or six computer try to access the "mapped" drive, I get the error
"no more remote connections can be made to this computer at this time becuase
there are already as many connections as this computer can accept". Is this
real??? Is there anything I can do to increase the number of connections? I
just bougt a server with Windows server 2003. I assume this won't be a
problem when I get it on line next week???

Wes,

XP Home is limited to 5 simultaneous connections. XP Pro to 10. Server 2003 is
limited only by the licenses. Short of upgrading, get the server online.
Setting up a server is not terribly difficult - I just set one up last week in a
few hours.

Windows XP Network >> XP home networking Thanks. I'm in the process of setting up the server now. Not as easy as I
thought it was going to be.
