Windows XP Perform Maintain >> What is going on? Yesterday while I was working on a program all of the sudden the computer just shuts off. Now when I start the computer up everything is fine up to the profile select page, then when I select a profile it takes almost 2 minutes for the desktop to load.

I tried going to my computer, properties, advanced, startup and recovery to disable auto restart but the program won't open and I get the "is not responding" message.

What is going on here?????

Windows XP Perform Maintain >> What is going on? Either you had a brief interruption of household power
or your computer's power supply is beginning to fail.
It would be prudent to purchase a backup power supply
unit for your computer since power interruptions can
cause damage to a computer and its file system.
